Great bunch. I love all of Elaine May's movies.... She was 4/4.
I had a 180 on Glover last year after watching To Sleep With Anger, Boesman and Lena, and Honeydripper.... I'm a fan now.

I'll add that for 2023, I hope that they give the award to the likes of Jean-Pierre Leaud or Alain Delon.
Much like how Ullmann & Von Sydow were the "face" of Bergman's films, Leaud stands out as the first actor to come to mind when discussing the works of Truffaut and both feel intrinsically tied to each other. He's nearly 80 years old at this point and has starred in some absolute classics. 0 Oscar nominations.
Delon is an absolute legend. Enough said. Also 0 Oscar nominations and in his mid-80s.
I'm not holding my breath though.
EDIT - JUST realized that Tatsuya Nakadai is also still alive. 100% should be getting this as well. He's in some of the very best from Kurosawa, Kobayashi, Teshigahara, Naruse, Ichikawa, Takahata, & Okamoto.

Elaine May overated as a director. Who can forget Ishtar.-
I guess Warren Beatty and the feminist are the main responsable for that. The worst honorary Oscar since Geena Davis.-

Speaking of Sam & Denzel, Denzel just presented Sam with his honorary Oscar and looks over the moon for him
