Well I certainly hope it's better than Hostiles.

Well I certainly hope it's better than Hostiles. You got around to finishing it? Yeah on the last day my rental was usable. ... it was the same 15 minutes over and over "I did bad shit, you did bad shit, oh no I'm shot". Like a short film on repeat but with a different actor getting shot each time. It was very much not good, but it should have been with the people involved. I gave it a pity *1/2 because while it sucks, it looked gorgeous.

I didn't want to put the notion of its suckage in your head before you saw it, but goddamn if it ain't the biggest disappointment of 2017. Literally every major decision the script/director made was wrong. The tools were all there, the actors all came to play, but it was in service of a story that was being told from the wrong perspective and dealing with themes so outdated as to be laughable.

Dig the title and I dig that Cooper is expanding his range as a director. Could be excellent.
I can also completely understand how a lot of folks didn't like Hostiles (the Native American characters were not at all fleshed out/very 1 dimensional , barely any Ben Foster but I really liked the two leads ' performance in it though) Probably my fav film from Cooper is Out of the Furnace which I think it underrated overall .

Cooper ha been a pretty boring director narrative-wise but I think his style lends itself to horror quite well going off those two trailers. This looks like a Cooper project (bleak woodland setting in what looks like a small town, the constant overcast weather, scrap metal, rust everywhere), and it also looks really cool. Stoked!

Didn't know Cooper was making a horror. Looks good.

That looks much better than the first trailer.
And the score they used sounds very intimidating!!!

Why show the monster in the trailer...
I mean, it wasn't a bad looking monster, but why not keep it hidden?

This actually has the potential to be terrifying. I’m really intrigued.

Pretty cool how the teaser had dialogue, but the full trailer was pretty much completely dialogue free. That is a rarity.
