I found the trailer underwhelming. Dune should not look so visually generic and flat in design. Not a fan of casting either. Paul Atreides was an irksome character in the book and him being played by Timothée Chalamet will only exasperate it.

I’m really surprised that the Dune trailer will likely surpass the amount of views that’s on The Batman trailer for WB’s YouTube account.

The fucking dramatic Eclipse cover lmfao when will the trope end Considering jodorowsky's dune was supposed to have pink floyd music, I think they were giving that a bit of a nod here. This ain't Pink Floyd music tho. It may be a Pink Floyd song, but it ain't their music. I have fucking had it with these classic songs being DESECRATED and RAPED for subpar movie trailers. This one in particular holds a special place in my heart

This had been my most anticipated film for the rest of the year (if it even comes out this year), but man, that trailer didn't make it look too great. It all seems very generic, and certainly not on the level we've come to expect from Villeneuve. I still have a lot of faith in the guy though, so we'll have to see. Also sadly gotta agree that Chalamet looks out of place here.

I’m really surprised that the Dune trailer will likely surpass the amount of views that’s on The Batman trailer for WB’s YouTube account. Dune trailer has 11.7m views on it's twitter account whereas The Batman has 23.7m on it's twitter page. On Movie Clips trailers YouTube page Dune has 890k views whereas The Batman has 5.5m views. Dune has 831k views on IGN whereas The Batman has 2.8m views. The collective view count of The Batman is way higher than Dune. For some odd reason Dune has slightly more views than The Batman on WB YouTube page.

Vader unmasked. The design disapoints again.

Vader unmasked. The design disapoints again. Yeah the blandness of the colour palette and costumes is a bit disappointing but hopefully the story and characters are enough to still produce a great film

Obsessed with the trailer because of Charlotte Rampling. I don't have anything against the other actors in the film, but seriously, this is how real talent engages.

The collective view count of The Batman is way higher than Dune. For some odd reason Dune has slightly more views than The Batman on WB YouTube page. Either last night, or the day before, the trailer had 22m massive views. Today has over 25m. Something is going on. would love to know what.

For the best, honestly. Let me enjoy it in a theater without feeling like I'm risking my life.

As shitty as it is being delayed almost a year, at least it won’t be rushed (seeing as Denis said in an interview that he wasn’t completely sure post production would be done by December). There’s also the silver lining that the campaign won’t be as botched as it was if it stayed at the original date, meaning a better chance it won’t flop at the box office and thus, Denis being able to make part two.

An obvious and smart decision.
I wonder what the hell is gonna be up for technical awards in this barren year apart from "Mank" and (hopefully) "Tenet".

The VFX nomination is among the ones that I'm MOST curious about this year. There're no blockbusters and the streaming movies are never effects-heavy. WTF is getting nominated? I presume (without wanting to jinx it) that "Tenet" is the frontrunner but what about the nominees? Is stuff like "Greyhound" and fucking "Dolittle" a threat here? Will they go back to three nominees just this once? So curious.

Can see Bad Boys for Life, The Invisible Man....hell maybe even Extraction sneaking in! You’re right, the tech awards are going to be interesting..... but we all know TENET is obviously winning Best Sound and VFX

Although to be fair I thought the effects in "Sonic" were pretty neat, especially after all the scandals about his initial design. As for TENET, it BETTER be winning those two! GOAT-worthy stuff.

Can't really say it was unexpected though.
Mank or Tenet will dominate the technical categories now.
