Just so y'all know, I deleted the posts with any spoilers in it. In case you're wondering why I deleted any of your replies to Ray, it was only because of the bolded spoiler in the post. I've not seen The Devils and don't wish for it to be spoiled. That is all, thanks. Also, love a lot of these lists here. I've noticed Jesse Eisenberg pop up on a few for The Social Network and that makes me so happy. Glad we're all coming around on that genius performance. One of the best of his generation, in my opinion. Jesse Eisenberg was one of the few things about The Social Network that was actually worthy of the hype. I consider the film to be top three Fincher, so I'd obviously disagree, but I'm glad you enjoyed Eisenberg at least. I think he's the best of the cast by a country mile and is probably the best actor outside of Bradley Whitford to utilize Sorkin's dialogue perfectly.

You live and you learn, buddy. No big deal.

Most of your choices are my all-time favorite performances as well Cool! Yeah, your list is pretty awesome too. I didn't include Day-Lewis (TWBB) or Bibi Andersson (Persona), but they make my top 25 of all time in their respective categories. De Niro (Taxi Driver), Streep, Theron and Leigh are also pretty high in my book.

It's nice to see somebody mention Nobody's Fool - that one gets forgotten a lot, and very few American actors get better as they get older, but Newman was one of those to me and a lot of what he uses in that role were things he had honed and mastered over the years.
Unfairly forgotten for a big star, Best Actor nominated role.......

Olivia Colman shot up high on my top ten after The Favourite, and Dafoe/Pattinson are ridiculously close to cracking it. I also bumped Ngor from supporting to lead because, fuck it, he's lead, and he knocked Abraham out.

I don't know that anyone would break in, but Ronan for Brooklyn was in consideration at the time, and she still is now.
