I am just gonna assume that vote splitting took away Marion's win.

Overrated but still very good. Solid win but Fiennes was robbed.

Good movie eclipsed by Inarritu showing off. Still pretty good stuff, I don't mind.

Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel each have 5 wins, including one that's shared. Whiplash has 3 and Gone Girl and Interstellar have 2.

Also, I just want to point out that 3 of the 4 acting winners are playing psychopaths. What a year, eh?

As the only surprise of the year, good for Kristen Stewart. I had no horses in this race, outside of no-shots like Phoenix and Wild Tales. It turned out pretty well. And once again, thankee-sai, Pendragon.

Gone Girl winning best adapted screenplay is my favorite win. The Grand Budapest Hotel should have won best original screenplay, though. Also love Pike's win.

I keep forgetting it had a score. Dude, how. I genuinely thought some bits were sound design. It just was what that whole movie was to me, an interesting journey through nothing to ultimately arrive at nowhere. Ideas in the film were intriguing, the whole seduction ritual played like a dark commentary on modern day slut-shaming, and the negative look on promiscuity in women as opposed to men, and some other nuggets here and there. But the movie itself just leaves me no reason to ponder it. It comes and goes so abruptly, and it doesn’t linger.
