EDIT: answering the previous post, he was talking about Palmetto , a 1998 neo-noir movie w Woody Harrelson that's based on a 1961 novel Just Another Sucker by James Hadley Chase. Don't know why he said the title of the movie ! From a new/recent interview (I think pre-coronavirus though) www.mailonsunday.co.uk/home/event/article-8104405/Director-Brian-Palma-Harvey-Weinstein-film-violence.htmlIt was originally gonna shoot in Canada, now overseas it seems which makes sense as the producer is French and he's a bit more idolized there at the moment. But hardly confirmed news, his announced movies drop or fall back more than anyone's, and recent pictures of him, needing canes to walk, isn't promising, unfortunately -

Can’t wait for the speculation on who he’s referring to.

Can’t wait for the speculation on who he’s referring to. My first thought was Warren Beatty.

www.interviewmagazine.com/uncategorized/emma-cline-brian-de-palma-daddyDe Palma interviewing a young writer Emma Cline. Published today, but they spoke on July 8. Predator seems to still be on the table. Asked what he's been doing during the quarantine says "I wrote another screenplay." And he's working on another novel. And he's been playing with a drone, and reading a Coppola biography.

I know, more Ruimy comin our way but no one else is reporting this....... so if it's true, he gets a lifetime pass, if it's bogus news, I'll forever consider shenanigans on his reporting bc there's no other director I wish for one more lil comeback movie than De Palma...... www.worldofreel.com/blog/2022/10/43m5npq9vb0dg4ta5lkjrx9gxj3a9wI’m hearing Brian De Palma is FINALLY ready to shoot “Sweet Vengeance.” The crime drama will shoot in and around Montevideo, Uruguay and will be “inspired by two true stories of murders” which took place in the United States.
(also posting here bc this is where all our Sweet Vengeance news is -- who'd like to change thread title to De Palma News <<<)
