Good Actor win, but this lineup still baffles me. Ian McKellan??? I thought the back of Geza Rohrig's head had hair and maybe a hat. Because that's all he did was walk with us watching the back of his head, Segels just ok

We watched the back of his damn head for the whole movie. I'll never understand the love for the film or performance.

Mad Max: Fury Road pulled off 11 wins, a record that's likely to go unchallenged for a while. Additionally, The Revenant got 3 wins.

Thanks for holding this! I can stop fangirling and get back to being serious now. Been a blast though.

My least favourite of the 5 nominees I've seen, but still, as others have said, it's a better performance than what she won for.

Best Achievement in Composing an Original Score
And the nominees are... Carol The Hateful Eight It Follows Mad Max: Fury Road Sicario And the winner is... Mad Max: Fury Road
Damn straight. I rarely note a film score as one of the best things about it, but this is one of those cases.

Same as supporting actress in that my least favourite of the nominees has won, and I don't even have the benefit of liking the winning performance here.

Best Achievement in Casting of an EnsembleAnd the nominees are... Brooklyn The Hateful Eight The Lobster Mad Max: Fury Road Spotlight Steve Jobs Straight Outta Compton And the winner is... The Hateful Eight
Honestly, while The Lobster should have swept to this win, I am neither surprised it didn't or disappointed with the actual winner. I think any of these would have been a worthy winner ('cept Steve Jobs)
