Ali.
But a Patel win would be cool as it would also send a more inclusive minority message with 2 Black and 2 Asian actors winning in the same night. Either way, we'll still have Stone.

Even I will pick Ali because Moonlight has huge support. Neither Lion nor Patel created such big waves in USA.

Ali is definitely my favourite of the nominees, but I was surprised how much I ended up liking Patel. He has definitely grown on me a lot

Both are great, but Dev. It helps that he has much more to work with.

Dev was very good, but Mahershala blew up huge in a smaller role and really touched a nerve.

Harvey barely promoted "Lion" yet it managed 6 Oscar noms and it's doing so well at the box office. Its word of mouth is incredible, nearing 40 million without ever going above 6 million on the weekend box office.

Patel winning for that would be a bigger waste of an Oscar than Vikander winning for The Danish Girl. At least she's had a string of strong performances that make her perfectly worthy of being a winner, just not for that particular film. Patel wouldn't even have that.

Lion got mixed reviews whereas Moonlight is a major critical success and Ali's performance also got better reviews than the middling Patel who was totally mediocre in the film(The little kid not only outperformed him but many feel he deserved a nod instead). And...Harvey 'barely' promoted Lion? Sure!

Patel could pull a Tilda Swinton...
i don't think it is out of the world but they might want to throw something else besides screenplay to Moonlight so I guess its Ali's to lose

I think Ali will win but I'm hoping for Patel. I think right now it's a 80% for Ali and 20% for Patel. The others have 0%.

I'm invested in the ones on my signature, though would not mind if any of the 4 actors won in lead excluding Gosling who's nom is also embarrassing. For "Moonlight", Rhodes, Holland and the teenage kid where light years ahead of Ali, who's nothing more than a furniture prop in the film, he's this year's Keener (2005) or Madsen (2004). this pretty much sums up my feelings for Ali: want to know what critics were smoking when they voted for supporting actor this year

Probably Ali especially since it's the first award of the night, but I'm hoping for an upset to happen in any of the major categories.
