The season premiere was fantastic! I’m loving Anthony Carrigan as NoHo Hank more and more. He seriously deserves some Emmy consideration for this episode. Very multi-layered performance and seeing him manage to be both hilarious and scary in the same episode was impressive.

The first two episodes of S2 have roughly met my expectations, although if I haaaaaaad to nitpick the shifts between screwball comedy and Tarantino-level violence feel a bit more discordant than before. And even though Hader's doing a bang-up job for the most part, he pulls the same bug-eyed, stiff-mouthed robot face everytime NoHo or Root shows up. Wish he'd change up those reactions.

Anthony Carrigan deserves an Emmy nod. NoHo Hank is the best. I especially love it when he tries to act tough and it actually works for a second . . . and then the facade drops.

Episode three was my favorite of the season so far. The Braveheart monologue was priceless.

Guys. Episode 5 is the best thing I've seen on TV since Twin Peaks: The Return.

Episode 5 was fucking insane. It was disgusting and bizarre and I was laughing my ass off at so many points. Hader’s direction was top notch. Definitely deserves a directing nod at the Emmys for this episode.

This show does not let up, holy shit. It just gets better and better.
Also Stephen Root was great in season 1 but he’s phenomenal in season 2. Crazy that he’s never gotten an Emmy nomination before. Hope it finally happens this year.

It's such bullshit that this will most likely lose the Best Comedy Emmy this year.

Jaw-dropping finale. Bill Hader was legitimately scary in the last 10 minutes.

Winkler really came through in that last episode, but Root and Carrigan deserve Emmys over him.

Finished catching up, and, uh, yeah, this is incredible. Hader is a goddamn madman in this. Root, Winkler, Carrigan all incredible in this of course, but I noticed in this thread that y'all don't mention Sarah Goldberg, and she's just as excellent as everyone else. Sally is sort of this show's Kim Wexler to me, and I've loved her arc thus far. But yeah ... "ronny/lily" is a goddamn masterpiece, and I looooved the big talk between Barry and Cousineau in episode 4 of this season, that moment really got to me. I do kinda wish that Barry had actually killed Fuches in the finale ... I love Root and his character but I kinda feel like his time is done, I dunno, if they keep him around for a whole other season or more, it might just feel like dragging dead weight . But I'd love to be proven wrong on that one! Excellent show all around.
