From what I've seen:
Alicia Vikander, Ex Machina - Supporting Rachel Weisz, The Lobster - Supporting Kurt Russell, The Hateful Eight - Supporting Samuel L. Jackson, The Hateful Eight - Lead Frederick Lau, Victoria - Supporting Michael Keaton, Spotlight - Supporting Steve Carell, The Big Short - Supporting Tom Courtenay, 45 Years - Supporting Tom Noonan, Anomalisa - Supporting
So pretty much all Supporting except Sam Jackson in Lead, but I honestly wouldn't care if people wanted him in Supporting too. I just feel like he's Lead because we see him from beginning to end and he's the only one of all the characters (save Channing Tatum) where we see a flashback/back story from his perspective as well.

I'm planing on seeing some of the others in the next few days, before submitting my ballot.
Are people serious about Rachel Weisz, though? I mean, it's not like she was bad or anything, but I think that it's the type of role she (or any other actress, really) could do in her sleep. Angeliki Papoulia was by far the best of the supporting performers. Her 'heartless woman' was convincing to the point of being disturbing (and I don't use this word too often).

Really grating and unpleasant.

So Jackson is lead and Carell is supporting? That's gonna change my lineups. The others were all pretty easy, with the exception of Srinivasan.

These are pointless Taking into account the ones I've see, all but the Jackson one ended up with the correct result, so that's pretty great. Only two of these actually make my Top 7s and I had them in the correct placement, so they didn't impacted me anyways.

Only Keaton changes my lineups. I feel like if Spotlight has a lead (and I instinctively like most movies to have a lead unless they're absolute ensemble films like Short Cuts or Magnolia where all the characters are given equal weight and have character arcs largely independent of each other), then Keaton's it. The movie's central investigation revolves around him. Not only is he the lead of the team, but he also questions the individuals that cut right to the heart of the scandal, and receives the case's defining piece of evidence from one of his connections in the movie's climax. Also taking into account his feelings of guilt in allowing the story to have been previously buried which adds another layer to the film unconnected to what the other characters have been doing, and I think you get significantly more dramatic weight from his character than anyone else on the cast.
I'll vote for him in supporting though.

Angeliki Papoulia was by far the best of the supporting performers. I actually thought Weisz was bad though. Lanthimos' deadpan characterizations and dialogue didn't compliment her at all. Really grating and unpleasant. I wouldn't go that far, but to me, the film became less interesting from the moment her character appears on screen. I understand what the writer was trying to convey, and I still liked what I saw, but I couldn't help feeling less involved. The main strong point of this film is its script and its originality. When it comes to performances, I think Farrell and Papoulia are clearly the ones that make a bigger impression.
