Ok, let's begin. First off, the winners round had 46 contributors, hopefully the increase is a sign that we'll be getting more people for this. Thank you to all who contributed.

Rhodes was alright. Wouldn't even be my pick from Moonlight though.

Strange how the times change. Totally expected Ali to win this again, but Rhodes is still a solid choice (though I agree with Stephen in that he wasn't even my favorite Chiron, that honor goes to Ashton Sanders). Even beyond that Andre Holland was my favorite of the cast.

Well that was an unexpected win, but it does correlate with the ICCs that year which tied with La La Land in this category. Surprised that one didn't sweep here. I'd actually put the other four ahead of the winner, but it's still a solid choice.

Best Achievement in Makeup and Hair-Styling
And the nominees are... Deadpool Green Room The Neon Demon Silence Star Trek: Beyond And the winner is... The Neon Demon and Star Trek: Beyond
Yeah, it's still a tie. My attempts to break it failed. I'm going to have to come up with something else.

Yeah, it's still a tie. My attempts to break it failed. I'm going to have to come up with something else. I think it's fair to have a tie, as it's not uncommon and even happens with the Academy sometimes so I think it's all good. Besides, I'm glad I kept it a tie because Star Trek is infinitely more deserving in this category than Neon Demon (which was fine, but not nearly on the same level in my opinion). Especially crazy considering it wasn't even a nominee last year for the ICCs and here it is deservedly winning, even if it is a tie ha.

Well that's an interesting, but not entirely unexpected winner. Was hoping for a Hardcore Henry upset which I think has some of the best choreography of the decade (I mean the whole movie is basically one long choreography).

As much as I think La La Land gets too much praise (still enjoy it a lot, though), this is the one aspect I will undoubtedly praise as one of the decade's finest and one of the most deserving Oscar winners this decade as well. Justin Hurwitz's music absolutely makes the film and is a sheer stroke of genius. Also endlessly audible.
Shame, though, that Cliff's score had to be the same year because both are incredible works of art.

Expected. I was hoping for an Abbey surprise, but I guess it's a miracle that she got in to begin with. Super-glad that Williams didn't steal the win in the end.

Say what you will about Hacksaw Ridge, but it deserved to win this.

Re: Davis' win.
Ugh. I really just do not get the love here. She's been playing the same performance (not even character or role, literally the same performance stroke-for-stroke, snot-for-snot) since Antwone Fisher. At least it works better in better-directed/better-written films, but this one wasn't good and the performance stuck out like a sore thumb. Would've preferred any of the others here, three of which make my top five (Poots, Lee, Williams).

Say what you will about Hacksaw Ridge, but it deserved to win this. I gave my win to Don't Breathe, but not going to argue there.
