I heard the original title was simply "Woody Allen's Next".

I'm looking forward to this one too! I'm also happy that Vittorio Storaro is coming back to shoot this one!

I like a lot of his movies but he really needs to step his pussy game up. The last couple have been really cringey in parts, even when they're pretty to look at and have appealing all star casts. Hopefully Timberlake only has one scene...

NOW I have faith in this movie. Why now Well, Woody never fails to entertain me, but lately his movies are only up for Best Actress and Original Screenplay - and many times they don't get nowhere. As we knew very little of the movie, I held back into predicting it hard cause I didn't know if this one was for the fans or "for the awards".

I still think Actress and Screenplay are its only places of contention with Amazon already having Last Flag and Wonderstruck + December release isnt THAT inspiring to me

I have no idea what to make of this. It's tough to predict which of Woody Allen's films will be hits lately, but I can't remember anything aside from Mighty Aphrodite which ended up being an awards player without a summer date.

Guess Woody wants to be back at the Oscars. Well its time, usually its 3-4 movies between his Oscar hits.

Woody Allen's 'Wonder Wheel' to Close New York Film FestivalI have to admit for a few days there I was getting a little panicky because Anne Thompson tweeted that it wasn't going to festivals, and that sounded bizarre to me considering Amazon moved it to December and there's been a lot of buzz about Kate Winslet's performance. Now I can relax, sort of, because this makes much more sense, and it gets Winslet's performance out there early on since it seems the path to winning Best Actress (along with Best Picture) is get out there in the fall by doing the festival circuit that way it doesn't come out too early to be forgotten about and not too late so that the inevitable backlash isn't too fresh.

Thompson is terrible this season as she claimed "The Current War" will also skip the festivals.
