I think it’s great that women are finally coming out against men that’ve sexually abused them. I hope in the future that this movement helps younger women not experience the kind of abuse that these women have had.
While saying that, I also think, at least in the past couple of months, the pendulum has started swinging too far into the other direction.

Well, stupid sexual harassment allegations have always been around (like that guy in the 90's who got fired because a woman overheard him telling someone else about a joke from Seinfeld inside his own cubicle) I don't know that it's changed at all recently. With a few exceptions (the guy asking for Brie Larson's number and everyone suddenly acting like the Woody Allen allegations are brand new) the complaints have been about serious things.

Why does it have to be broadly stroked as all good or all bad? There is so much good that comes from exposing serial abusers like Larry Nassar and Harvey Weinstein so that that behavior discontinues. But like every movement that gets a lot of attention, there will be more extreme elements in it or people taking advantage, so you have to see the good and the bad to it.

I saw a tweet by some woman (don't remember her name but she was verified) saying that she didn't care about the men who could be falsely accused of rape or assault because it's necessary to believe all women. Now I remember she was involved in some form of feminist movement with lots of followers who I imagine would eat that shit up.

I've seen that other places too where women were tweeting to always believe the woman. First, notice these women only seem to care about female victims, and second, that is a dangerous, undemocratic way to operate. I would ask these women who believe that how they would feel if they saw the men they care about in their lives (whether it be their brother, father, son, or significant other, etc.) being falsely accused and having their lives and careers ruined as a result.
