Don’t you know the first thing about Eagles fans? I know that this is about the only time white people can riot and get a pass. There was no need to bring race into this.

A whole other story here is how Nick Foles never should have been traded as the Eagles starter in the first place, 1 year removed from a season (2013) where he threw 27 touchdowns and 2 Interceptions, he got hurt the next year and Chip Kelly traded him away like he was nothing and Foles could have been anyone in HIS system.
I know he has problems as a starter and he isn't Wentz but he got a raw deal then - it's still 27 TD's and 2 Int's for fncksakes - and this win makes it really sweet.
This isn't a typical back up story......

This isn't a typical back up story...... Yep, and then he was unfairly judged as a shitty/backup QB after 11 games in an absolutely inept Rams offense. Coaching/system, is.... you know... unbelievably important to QB play. Foles, Keenum, and Goff this year may have ensured that Jeff Fisher is never hired as a head coach again.

This isn't a typical back up story...... He's not the WORST quarter back in the league, but he's not any better than these guys like Keenum and Bortles (or Brady back in the day) who find themselves in the middle of these great teams. In that 2013 season he had Shady running 100 yards a game, and DeSean on fire too (before they decided he was a gang member and kicked him out of town) bunch of other guys all around the 500 yard mark (God damn it's amazing that offense they had before The Chipper decided to just randomly dismantle it and go with Riley Cooper as his guy). They made him look good, it's not like any guy can't look good for one year, look at Matt Cassel and Josh Freeman in 2010! But he was WOEFUL in 2014 (MARK SANCHEZ OUTPLAYED THIS GUY) and Bradford in 2015 so much better working with sooooo much less. Foles is never going to be a day in and day out starter, certainly not for anyone other than one of the best teams in the league. The way Pederson mollycoddled him through this past month should have been all he needed to see him get Coach of the Year. He's like an even less inconsistent version of Joe Flacco or Eli Manning, from the sublime to the ridiculous.

Foles might not be a guy who can do great pre-snap reads or really elevate the play of the guys around him, but the dude can straight-up throw the ball. He was making some brilliant passes the past couple games and was great in that 2013 season. That offense had a great running game in Shady which certainly helps take some pressure off, but you don't get a 27 TDs to 2 INTs split along with 9.1 YPA without doing a really good job throwing the ball (even as far as one-hit wonders in the NFL go, that season is on another level), especially since it's not like DeSean Jackson or Riley Cooper had great hands and were bailing him out several times a game a la Kellen Winslow and Braylon Edwards with Derek Anderson in 2007. Foles has had his struggles and has shown he probably needs to be in situations where he has a lot of confidence and can get aggressive downfield off RPOs, but he's got more raw arm talent than guys like Keenum or Bortles.

Alright, you got me... Less Keenum and Bortles, more JaMarcus Russell! I'm only being half serious. Foles can be plenty amazing when he's in the zone, and he was amazing on Sunday (Championship Game I think was less impressive. I think the Browns could have won that game). Granted he didn't have much pressure on him, but his 3rd down performance alone was legendary.
