I'm in the not sure category, but I'm leaning more towards innocent. Everything against him is in from the mouth of a young child, and while Woody liked his girls young at one time... he didn't go that young.
But... won't I look like an asshole if the kid is right.

I don't know. And that's the thing. No one really knows, at least from what evidence there is. There's so much bullshit muddying the waters from both Allen and Farrow (Mia, not Dylan) and there are equally plausible explanations for Dylan's claims (either that Woody molested her, or that Mia coached/brainwashed/manipulated her child to get revenge on her ex for jilting her) that it becomes impossible to really know. What I do know is that Dylan Farrow is a victim of somebody, and I really feel someone did a number on her emotionally and mentally. I think we should absolutely listen to what she has to say, but take it with a grain of salt because there are other elements at play that we don't see in other cases like this.
I don't much like Woody Allen and never really have, so I have no dog in the "separate the art from the artist" fight in this particular circumstance, but this case isn't nearly as clear-cut, and most of it is based off of supposition, misinformation, his history with Soon-yi, and his general appearance and attitude about the whole thing.

I have no idea. I'm vocal about every single scandal that happens when it comes to harassment, always able to form an opinion but not here. Between Mia being shady herself and Dylan's accusations it's just impossible.
I'll say this - all those celebrities who work with Allen who are denouncing him now? Laughable. Nothing new resurfaced. They were cool working with him just few years back but now they are all 'oh no, never again!'.

So okay, woody molested dylan while visiting post breakup but he never did it while they were together. Right....

I truly don't know what happened, BUT there is enough room for doubt for me to not feel so comfortable assuming his guilt. First, to me, there's just something fishy about the timing and Mia's actions. After the Soon-Yi thing blew up, Mia was rightfully enraged, but think about it: we're to believe that in the middle of an acrimonious custody battle- where he's doing everything to fight for custody of his children- that on a supervised visit with a house full of people, Woody Allen suddenly decided to molest his daughter for the first time? I'm not saying it's impossible but reading the situation as a whole, there's something a little suspicious about the timing there.
Add to that, Mia's own son Moses Farrow, who in my opinion has not been getting enough coverage for his side. He said Mia did everything to turn everyone against Allen and tried to brainwash them all into believing they saw something they didn't. That is huge in making it all very questionable for me.

I have to assume he's innocent because there's never been anything else - it doesn't add up - and because the circus around the story leans in his favor - i.e. Dylan doesn't even seem believable when she talked to Gayle King. I'm sorry but she doesn't to me.
That's if I'm forced to side with anyone because I think "I don't know" is a perfectly valid answer. But think of this too:
The 3 kids don't all speak (Moses, Ronan, Dylan), Moses lost his adoptive Mother, Ronan (Satchel) his adoptive father, Dylan her adoptive father, Soon-Yi her adoptive mother (Mia) AND father (Andre Previn).
Dylan essentially articulated the words of Dory Previn's With My Daddy In The Attic - a sad, heartbreaking song that Mia, if true used as a sick twisted joke being it's sung by the wife of her previous husband whose marriage she maliciously broke up.
I mean you can't make this stuff up, at a certain point it boggles the mind. The connections are deep and twisted and weird, just that Ronan grew up to be a reporter and Moses a therapist is amazing enough.......

You couldn't make this stuff up even in novels about the most twisted family sagas.

Oh honey, I've never believed it.
Are people aware that Woody & Mia lived in separate houses across Central Park during their relationship?
With that arrangement I'm not sure how much of a father Woody was to Soon Yi... probably more of a case of Mommie's boyfriend. Soon Yi Previn was around 21 to 22 years old when she got involved with Woody and that's hardly a child!
I've always believed that Mia coached & planted the story of Dylan's molestation which is the verdict of the child psychologists at the time. After all a professional would have a good idea, so I'll go with that...
A lot of people cite Manhattan as proof that Woody is a paedophile but they totally overlook that Mariel Hemingway was a big thing in the 70s, winner of a Golden Globe best newcomer 1976 award and she was 18 years old when she made Manhattan in 1979. Again that's hardly a child. Her first movie was three years earlier. Allen's always used the latest young actresses (Scarjo, Penelope Cruz, Ellen Page, etc) because they are good box office but more importantly he's steadily worked repeatedly with Diane Keaton, Mia Farrow, and Judy Davis. One movie means nothing.
All his previous marriages and relationships have been with adult women. His first wife Louise Lasser was 27 years old when they married in 1966; dated Diane Keaton at 26; Mia Farrow at 34, etc. Hardly the sexual motivational history of a paedophile.
And lastly, Mia Farrow is bat shit crazy.

We'll probably never know for sure but I'm heavily inclined to believe Allen. Because of the timing, Moses' comments, Mia offering to drop the allegation if Allen gave her $7,000,000, and also the abuse conveniently happened at Mia's Connecticut house (which Allen didn't even live in) when Mia wasn't in the house, a house full of kids and nannies. And why did Mia refuse to take a lie detector test even though Allen did (and passed)? And why won't Mia or Dylan sue Allen in the civil court? There's also the findings of a doctor who interviewed Dylan nine times - www.nytimes.com/1993/05/04/nyregion/doctor-cites-inconsistencies-in-dylan-farrow-s-statements.html. Most importantly of all, Allen was never charged. Interesting 1992 interview with Allen here - That fact that so many people are willing to believe someone when there's no evidence to corroborate that person's version of events is beyond my understanding.

Of course I don't know for sure, but I think I'm pretty sure he's innocent Why ? Haven't seen any strong evidence, he was investiagted and not found guilty, Dylan was determined not sexually assaulted by child abuse specialists, the timing is a bit too convenient, the allegations are questionable to say the least... the entire situation is a mess, and again I can't say for sure and I haven't researched the scandal thoroughly, but based on what I've seen and my limited perception of the events, it seems pretty clear that he is innocent- or, at the very least there is enough of a reasonable doubt for him to be assumed innocent.

I just looked that up, and Dory Previn is the ex-wife to Soon-Yi's adoptive father (André divorced from her to be with Mia, and there's suggestions he cheated on her with Mia)... and the song is pretty much Dylan Farrow's story, but in the 70's. Jesus Christ, that is so sick and low from Mia if it turns out to be true.

The Song in question.
With my Daddy in the attic With my Daddy in the attic That is where My being wants to bed With the Mattress ticking showing And the tattered pillow slip And the pine Unpainted rafters overhead With the Door closed on my mama And my sibling competition And my Shirley Temple doll That truly cries And my essay on religion With the pasted paper stare Proving tangibly I'd won the second prize With my Daddy in the attic With my Daddy in the attic That is where My dark attraction lies With his Madness on the nightstand Placed beside His loaded gun In the terrifying nearness Of his eyes With no Window spying neighbours And no Husbands in the future To intrude Upon our attic Past the stair Where we'll live on Peanut butter Spread across assorted crackers And he'll play His clarinet When I despair With my Daddy in the attic With my Daddy in the attic With my Daddy in the attic Passed the stair Where we'll live on Peanut butter Spread across assorted crackers And he'll play His clarinet When I despair
