Well you know she's speaking at a distance and conflating incidents of her own flirtations with actual sexual assaults she seems oblivious to so her comments don't carry much weight and can be ignored but ......... But in general that much of a batsh it wtf comment is right too and a little pushback is needed. I mean it's ridiculous what people did to Damon (heck Neeson too!), Streep, Tarantino and Franco, and Ansari, or Keillor - not a celebrity really so who cares etc. - it is hypocritical and ridiculous but that doesn't mean METOO is obviously, there's good there too - much good. But a certain backbone is needed though and sometimes it comes from clueless aging starlets like Bardot and you never know when the tide starts to turn or why. Alec Baldwin was right, and I think Franco is a nominee this year, and I think Chalamet maybe helped his career in some ways but can say goodbye to an Oscar this year (because some older Academy males actually do like and respect Woody too despite what you've read about "nobody" liking him Tim).........for every action, a reaction, some just, some not, and so it goes.

Maybe but she has the right idea about what's a good compliment.

Bardot's like that crazy aunt who jumps into a heated debate halfway through and starts shouting without even understanding what it's about.

I'm an animal lover, and do not and never will condone animal abuse but I genuinely believe that Delon is losing his mind . He has been saying a lot crazy and hateful sh!t lately.

I work for a newspaper and I'm pretty sure I wrote it myself a small note of him passing away. Or did he just get sick and my mind is playing games with me?

Isn't she the racist one? Not surprised. Well , he's a well-known conservative . He's also opposed to gay marriage/adoption and freaked out when he found out that his youngest daughter signed a petition to legalize gay marriage Never heard/read him making PUBLICLY any racist omments , though.

I've misread you Bardot is actually not that big racist wench that some people make her out to be . Things have been blown out of proportion . Bardot has nothing against foreigners as long as they adopt France's laws , culture / way of life and not try to impose theirs . She has said that many times. Can't say I disagree with that one.As for the whole Muslim thing , she was just disturbed by the way Muslims were killing animals (mainly sheep or goats) during the Eid al-Adha . She's a notorious animal right activist . She just said Muslims should find a less brutal or painful way to kill those animals. www.nytimes.com/1964/06/06/tv-plea-of-brigitte-bardot-aids-josephine-baker-home.html

This mixed race person says fuck you, Brigitte Bardot. I'm a biracial girl too Actually , the whole mixed-raced thing was a thing that she borrowed from De Gaulle who once said that he didn't mind seeing Blacks , Asians , Arabs or whatever in France as long as they remained a minority sort of speak. A France with way too many non white people wouldn't be France anymore. A journalist confronted her once with that statement and she replied that she didn't mind people of different races getting together as people are free to do what they want but she would stand by De Gaulle 's comments . She apologized for the phrazing ,though and said that she admired Isabelle Adani (whose father is Algerian) and said that the way her father raised her was a proof that there are goodness is every race (which was a weird thing to say if you ask me ). Adjani later one , became a very good friend of hers .She also said that the same should be applied to Eastern Europeans. I know her comments can seem incredibly offensive but I just believe that she's just one those people who comes from the "Old France" and isn't used to see so many non white people around her. The first time I've read those comments , I was also shoked but once I've read the whole interview , I kind of tried to put some things in context . That being said , she should definitely learn how to keep her mouth shut once in a while.

She's just one of those people who sometimes should keep their mouths shut. She was quoted as opposing "the mixing of genes" too. If that's true, and I'm not sure because I don't speak French and certain things can be confused in translation, so I could be totally wrong here, but if that's what she wrote, it points to an issue deeper than preserving the old France. It points to a bigot. But Bardot strikes me as one of those people who cares a great deal about animals, but won't extend that same humanity towards other humans, so I don't take what she says that seriously just because she's a film icon.

All I know about that controversy is what I 've just written to you . I truly hope she's not a bigot. Bardot has often said some people enjoyed misquoting her and writing awful things about her just to damage her reputation since she has never been an "ass-kisser". Bardot strikes me as one of those people who cares a great deal about animals, but won't extend that same humanity towards other humansShe has said that she has been hurt , abused and let down by so many people that she kind of lost hope. That's why she has decided to devote her time and energy to animal causes since "animals have loved her just the way she is". I don't take what she says that seriously just because she's a film icon.Naturally . She's just an actress , not the Messiah.

I guess I'd have to hear from someone French who read her book to get a better idea of what she really said. I'm an animal lover too, so I kind of understand what she means about the pure love of animals. I just think she seems to lack compassion towards humans sometimes. We've all been hurt. I wonder what kind of mother she was to her son.

And she has been a poor mother to her son . She said she was too young and to focused on her career to be a "proper" mother . She also said she didn't have any maternal instincts at all and said sometimes she wished that she'd given birth to a dog instead of a human...Ouch ! Needless to say , she didn't have a great relationship with her son and the 2 of them were estranged for years . However , they reconciled a few years ago , and now her son comes to visit her as often as possible.
