Usually I'm one of the first to say, "ask 100 people on the streets who X actor is and ask those same people who Y actor is..."
But this is an absurd discrepancy regardless of star power.

Wahlberg got paid $2 million, the $10 million figure is how much the reshoots cost in total. It's unknown how much exactly she got paid (although it certainly seems to be far less) and the $800 figure for Williams came from this:

How the hell did that happen? I know he's more famous, but that's just ridiculous. Laughable even.

Williams offered to work for free but Wahlberg didn't. I don't think he did anything wrong.

So Wahlberg was a greedy bastard that used his position to secure a ruthlessly expensive deal. I think the very fact that you're getting paid 1.5 mil for 8 days of work is wrong right there. Sure, Williams agreed to work on the cheap and he didn't, but that doesn't mean that it isn't wrong.
He's also a shitty actor on top of a shitty person and needs to just go away.

Yeah, too fucking bad Plummer couldn't replace him as well.

It's a lot of money for sure but I don't think he should be called greedy for wanting to get paid for working. It's not his fault that they decided to reshoot the movie.

It's a lot of money for sure but I don't think he should be called greedy for wanting to get paid for working. It's not his fault that they decided to reshoot the movie. I mean, he didn't demand anything he didn't have a right to negotiate, but that doesn't mean it wasn't greedy, nor that it wasn't a dick move. The article says: This goes a little beyond just demanding to get paid for work. Not to mention, what Wahlberg did was basically tantamount to holding the film hostage. Reshooting it (and therefore giving it a fighting chance at the box-office, with critics and with awards groups by sparing it from the relentless backlash that would've inevitably sunk it after Spacey's scandal broke out) hinged on giving him an amount of money that was disproportionate enough to convince him to show up and do his job. Williams was willing to do it for pennies because she put the movie first, he didn't. Like I said, he had no obligation to do that and was free to ask for whatever paycheck he wanted, but it's not a good look. He'd have more of a leg to stand on if he was actually talented he had more pull at the box-office, but the film's disappointing performance so far is proof that he isn't that much of a draw outside of certain genres (action, comedy). If that's his argument to justify getting paid nearly 1,900 times as much as Williams for these reshoots, it's not a great one. Add this one to the ever-growing list of struggling adult-oriented original projects.

Ridley Scott: Hahaha, I'm glad I saw that Kevin Spacey-shaped hole in the ground and sidestepped it to save my movie. *steps on landmine*

Oh honey, people think being a glamorous Movie Star is something, but more often than not you'll find us squatting at the bar all day at the Chateau Marmont waiting for our next meal, or having to wear hand-me downs from Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Prada and Vera Wang... It's tough, honey. I don't even own a Private Jet... I have to walk to the drugstore!

This was entirely the fault of Michelle's reps who I think rep Mark Wahlburg too.
Well now that Wahlburg has donated his salary the controversy doesn't exist anymore

People bitch the fuck out of Marky Mark for getting the money he did but when he donates 100% of said money to a good cause everybody goes quiet.
