Also love earlier in the clip when Jackman kisses Oldman's ass in such an authentic and charming way.

Also love earlier in the clip when Jackman kisses Oldman's ass in such an authentic and charming way. I really think a lot of actors share Jackman's sentiment. With Oldman out on the campaign trail and Focus handling his campaign (and with him picking up his fair share of critics' mentions along the way), I think things are aligning for him pretty well so far.

I loved Chalamet's performance but he stands no chance against Gary this year who's long overdue. I haven't seen DARKEST HOUR yet but judging from some clips , he' slaying it. I sound petty ? You sound like a touchy biAtch !

Then why did you bring up Chalamet in your original post - if he wasn't a threat???
Oldman, who is an industry outsider, is hardly over due since he's only been nominated 1 time in his 40 years career. His performance as Churchill is not ground breaking - John Lithgow recently portrayed him to critical acclaim.

Because there are still a lot of people who are predicting Chalamet for the win . As the matter of fact , it seems like Chalamet is Oldman's strongest contender this year. Get it now ? Why would I care about Lithgow ? We're talking about FILM performances not TV ones !

I've only reported 1 person , it was you-know-who because his behaviour was getting out of control and a lot of users noticed that as well . Don't pretend you don't remember. I'm a nice person and I'm getting along with a lot of people in this forum but I just don't like to be annoyed for no reason , that's all.

If Chalamet is Oldman's strongest contender, then he stands a chance of winning - unlike your claim that he has NO chance.
If you are actually following the predictions, you would know that Oldman's performance has been compared to that of Lithgow. There is nothing that transformative about playing Churchill. It's been done.

I meant according to some people (fixed it) . Who cares if Oldman's performance is "nothing that transformative" ? So what ? Critics are still loving it so far and say that it's his performance that's elevating the film. Besides , the majority of people are still baffled that a thespian like Oldman is still oscarless . Doesn't matter that he's only been nominated once in the past.Once again , I loved Chalamet's performance but Gary is still winning that oscar.

Yet he hasn't swept the critics awards - as previously predicted. Who are the "majority of people"? If you are talking movie audiences and film pundits, they have no say so in who wins. Only the voting members of AMPAS do - the same group that only gave him 1 nod in his 40 year career.
