Could probably give JangoB and mikediastavrone96 a good run for their money on Spiels (you guys been able to track down much of his TV stuff?) Michael Powell maybe, based on seeing a lot of the movies 2-3 times, listening to commentaries, reading his autobiography. Anybody here manage to complete his (available) filmography, solo and with Pressburger? Know my share on a few of the usual suspects (Scorsese, Kubrick, PTA, Tarantino) but doubt I'm #1!

My favorites of his are: Three Sad Tigers (his feature debut in Chile) City of Pirates Berenice (his straightest adaptation) Genealogies of Crime Love Torn in a Dream I'd recommend checking out Ian Christie as well as Adrian Martins essays on Raul Ruiz. They are experts on the subject matter.

Your favorites are an interesting bunch, especially Berenice which I know next to nothing about (I know it exists basicly). Love Torn in a Dream is an interesting pick, it's among those I'm the most exited for yet. I love the title and how overtly dreamy it looks, I have the strong feeling it could become a favorite of mine, too. I've only seen City of Pirates of your picks but I think I'll get around to Three Sad Tigers and Love Torn in a Dream before the year is over. I'll be sure to look into the essays (in fact I've already started).

Now that I've gone through most of his filmography, I probably hold this title for Christian Petzold now. Not because I've hunted down everything he has done, but because nobody else has seen anything more than his recent stuff.
