Christened my Moviepass with this one. It’s a complete Frankenmovie. Tone flops around like a fish on land, effects look downright unfinished at times, and has any Superhero movie... ever, had such a boring-ass villain? It really does show how meddled with it is... And yet I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.
PS. Is it a spoiler to mention Superman, if we all pretty much knew he was gonna show up, and his symbol was all over the marketing campaign?

How do you solve a problem like DC?
Also, I may be the only one not bothered by the 1.85 ratio. That wasn’t even in my top 100 issues.

Just got out of seeing Justice League. Let's start with the positives: I thought the cast was terrific all across the board. I thought I'd be annoyed with Miller but I actually laughed at his goofy ass. Gadot shines as Wonder Woman, and I actually think was the best of the main bunch (I can't fucking wait to watch Wonder Woman now, I just hadn't gotten around to seeing it...or really anything this year). I really like Affleck here too as Batman. He has a charisma that works really well for Batman and him spewing some snarky dialogue is pretty damned awesome because Ben is pretty damned awesome at it. I do think Momoa and Stevens were fine (Momoa was good at just playing a bad ass) but they probably had the least amount of chance to shine and develop. I'll get into that later. More positives: I actually thought the film flowed pretty well. I would've liked a little more development of the new guys so at times, things felt a little rushed that way, but I felt that the film progressed really well. The action scenes in this were a lot of fun (although I hated Batman's first scene). I think that's the main positive to take away from this: it was just a lot of fun. It was a little lighter in tone, which I felt worked. And everyone got a chance to do their shit. That's the main thing I enjoyed. And honestly, Superman's appearance was amazing. Cavill is Superman.
The negatives: holy fuuuuuuck, how can a movie that cost this much look this bad with its special effects? The look of this just didn't feel believable and that's not even just the villain. It was just distracting to me. It just made the film ugly to look at, and not in a Batman v. Superman way where that film was just dark and lifeless. This had more color to it, it wasn't drab. And as mentioned before, I do feel like things were a little rushed. Does that mean we need another 35-40 minutes tacked on to this? Not necessarily. But I think a little length would have helped. Things are just hinted at as far as depth for these new guys, I wanted to know a little more.
I'm sure there's way more to talk about it, I'll let the film critic experts handle all that. But as far as a movie-going experience, I felt like this was a lot more fun than I anticipated. I'll give this one a 7/10.

I can't muster up enough need to go see it at all. I wouldn't highly recommend it. I only "half" enjoyed it. Some of the cast was good, the CGI though, urgh!!!

Well a superhero film stand and falls with a super villain. This particular super villain called Steppenwolf is really an awful one. Not only is he badly animated (it felt like he came out of a computer game) but also is he so lame and badly written ( his quotes really are like just out of a bad 90s computer game). I am one of the few who tolerated "Batman Vs. Superman" although it was overlong, here they tried to avoid that and trimmed the film awfully down so that you really are not able to make much of a connection to most of the characters. The true emphasize was on CGI action, and although some images were truly great, the animation part was second class. Ben Affleck was as wooden as it gets, while he had some energy during his Batman debut, here he obviously paid his dues and had no motivation whatsoever. Henry Cavill was, okay but also wooden. I liked Gal Gadot who she had not the spirit as in her solo movie. Still she was probably the best of the cast along with Jason Momoa, who really had a cool character that makes me curious for his solo film (although I am not sure if his character works in a whole environment around him and not only s a sidekick). I also did like Ezra Miller who had some self irony, sure he was a bit too smart assay and a true sissy that was on the edge of being annoying but still bearable. The most interesting addition acting wise and character wise is Ray Fisher's Cyborg. But I never felt the bond of that gang, unlike with The Avengers. They tried it but failed. Oh and why were there only like 2 minutes of J.K. Simmons? Damn did they cut that thing. Also it should be illegal to waste Amy Adams like that. Jeremy Irons Alfred was just there for the sake of being there but did not add anything to the whole thing. Inspired images at times, a totally uninspired score ( tho I did recognize some of Danny Elfman'S original Batman tunes, which was cool at least). The only positive thing is here we really got the Batman Vs. Superman standoff we all were waiting for during Batman Vs. Superman. I don't need another installment of Zack Snyder's group therapy.

Saw it over the weekend and found it to be a complete hodgepodge tonal mess. The villain was incredibly dull and the climax was a yawn. The Themyscira horse race scene was fun though.

Finally got around to watching this. I had low expectations, and it definitely sucked ass. Garbage screenplay, poor editing, underdeveloped characters, shitty villain... and my god, the CGI was terrible all around. It looked like literally every shot was done in front of a green screen. There were a couple of funny parts, mostly involving Flash, but it felt like comic relief was his sole function. Affleck was boring, Gadot was okay but was much better in her solo film. No one else made that much of an impression and a lot of the actors felt wasted. This film just felt really bland and uninspired overall.
