So far, it's decent, but, apart from visuals, nothing really spectacular or particularly gripping, at least to someone like me who isn't a book reader looking for connections (or to nit-pick).

2 episodes in. Decent so far. Tolkien's world is so vast that it took two episodes to introduce characters and lands. There's some drama brewing, and signs of conflict can be seen. We have our protagonist in Galadriel. Morfydd Clark does look good as an elven warrior, but her face is not that expressive. This new guy as Elrond is a bit hard to digest after a charismatic actor like Hugo Weaving. The visuals are stunning though. Writing could be tight. Looking forward to the rest. Yeah,I'm not quite sold on her as Galadriel just yet.Overall though,I liked the first two episodes a lot and I definitely plan to stick with it.

Galadriel a Quenyan word that in English means "not just a Mary Sue but also a Karen".

Whats weird that IMDB, thats now an Amazon Property that expells all of us from the boards. Only published user comments that only were good for them. Yesterday I check and there was not a single bad review for TROP

I feel so bad for Morfydd Clark. This show is an abomination.

The show looks stunning. Rivals any lavishly shot film but four episodes in and the story is not compelling and barely made any progress.

It shouldn't have premiered around the same time of House of The Dragon.

It shouldn't have premiered around the same time of House of The Dragon. It was HBO that anticipated HotD's premiere to compete, not the other way around.

I don't know, do I even bother? There's so much other TV to watch...

Ep6. Finally some gripping action. Storylines colliding. Progression. Galadriel fighting alongside Numenor. King of the Southlands. Mount Doom . Would've been memorable If only any of the above was properly built. Still happy that this mountain got some momentum.

Apparently according to the recent Nielsen ratings, it's in first place among all the shows, and more watched and popular stateside than House of The Dragon. Surprising.

The showrunners thought they were double playing us, but it was obvious who Sauron is. I guessed a few episodes ago. A welcome revelation anyway. Didn't think they would introduce Gandalf(?) so soon. It's him, isn't it? All in all, the show has grand production values, some intriguing moments but not a lot to cherish. If only they focused on the writing. It's not easy to adapt Tolkien but Amazon could've done a better job. Alright as a fantasy show but as a LOTR show it fell short of my expectations. Hopefully they work on the writing and give us a better second season.

Spot on. I still can't fathom that Amazon put their faith and billion dollars in writers whose only credit was Star Trek: Beyond (uncredited).

What am I missing with this show? I made it two episodes, there is no personality at all, ugh
