Notable that it's an Italian production. He's still toxic in America. Yes..............and it's actually a fascinating story in a way: Dustin Hoffman also got a big Italian film too that he would never have gotten anywhere else - now he's not Spacey - but my point is NOBODY really saw it. He co-starred with another great actor, Toni Servillo and it was during a pandemic AND it's free on TUBI and I think I'm the only one who ever mentioned it on MAR (reviewed it in the Dustin Hoffman birthday thread)......and it's even a "horror" film in some ways which attracts a big cult of viewers and it totally fizzled - less than 2400 ratings on IMDB / 1,200+ on Letterboxd viewed it. But there's other wrinkles to the story too - in America his career was leveled by Netflix - who buried an alleged best actor worthy performance (in "Gore") - or so some claimed - which they own and won't release and firing him from House of Cards. Spacey remains a little better served by his friends in the UK theater community from when he was Old Vic artistic director - both Judi Dench and Vanessa Redgrave (who is involved here) - have spoken warmly about his work at least - so this project makes sense in that way too.

I've lost it: All cases against him have dropped or not?
So, no cases pending against him and next thing you know he gets cast in a movie??

Bizarre how much Italy has embraced him. He could also move to France. They love celebrating sexual offenders there as well ! Maybe him and Polanski could be neighbours !

Did he also write this under a pen name? Don't be daft. Everyone's heard of accomplished screenwriter Spevin Kacey.

We like to kid ourselves (I guess?) that Kevin Spacey hasn't been offered a movie at all in 4 years - that's highly unlikely - he has said himself he has been offered "non-US" movies (?)
I think the "character" he "may" be playing - could just be a rumor - is actually what attracted him to the project - and makes perfect sense for his sensibilities.
What probably attracted him to this is the chance to do something ironic or "meta" or be a weird fit - and the dude loooooooooooooooooves irony - and he loves pissing people off too - which this would ........and it's stunt casting for the director (if true).
It's actually a perfect fit (again, if true).........

🤷🤷🤷
Reading the plot description of this film on imdb... is this supposed to be the ultimate twisted metafiction work or what ? I like Spacey's craft, House of Cards remains one of the few tv shows I've watch in its entirety ( well, except for last season ) but at this point with all these random videos he releases I wonder where is he in terms of mental health lol

Spacey in Italy.......role is called "small" here, and a "cameo".......hmmmmm......maybe not a "cameo" and that's just a bad translation but.... "Kevin Spacey sits at a cafe in Piazza San Carlo in Turin, Italy, as he visits the city while expected to return for a cameo appearance in a low-budget Italian film" The 61-year-old actor was photographed Tuesday in Turin, Italy, where L'uomo Che Disegnò Dio (or The Man Who Drew God) is filming. The Italian movie, directed by and starring Franco Nero, includes a small role for Spacey as a police detective.www.yahoo.com/entertainment/kevin-spacey-comeback-man-who-drew-god-sexual-misconduct-allegations-italy-190139469.html

The civil lawsuit against actor Kevin Spacey that alleges he sexually assaulted a teenager in the 1980s is expected to be dismissed after attorneys for the accuser on Thursday said he refused to identify himself.
A federal judge ruled last week that the man -- identified in court documents as C.D. -- who alleged Spacey sexually assaulted him when he was 14 must reveal his identity publicly.
Judge Lewis A. Kaplan determined that the public has a legitimate interest in knowing the identity of the man, noting in this case "that interest is magnified because C.D. has made his allegations against a public figure."www.cnn.com/2021/05/14/us/kevin-spacey-sexual-assault-allegations/index.html official now: As Eminem said in Without Me - "he just settled all his lawsuits........." A judge officially dismissed a lawsuit against Kevin Spacey brought on by an anonymous accuser after they failed to disclose their identity to the court.
Fox News can confirm that Judge Lewis Kaplan has officially dismissed the lawsuit brought on by an unnamed accuser known as "C.D." who accused the 61-year-old "House of Cards" actor of sexually abusing him in the 1980s when he was underage.

New movie - American one - Peter Five Eight?
TMZ.com
Kevin Spacey is back on a film set on American soil for the first time since multiple allegations of sexual assault against him came to light.
The actor – who was essentially exiled from mainstream Hollywood after the accusations started to come out in 2017 – is shooting a new movie called “Peter Five Eight”… and he was shooting scenes this week in Dunsmuir, Calif.
Spacey walks around dressed in black… all smiles and lights a cigarette.

I say this all the time but Kevin Spacey had as many Triple Crown nominations - as any American male Oscar winner - before being booted from Hollywood - his numbers could stand with Denzel Washington and Robert Duvall (Washington / Duvall have 11, Spacey 10)........he was on a pace to surpass Newman (12), and possibly even approach Pacino & Lemmon (15) ...........well that's all gone all to Fncking Hell now:
Here he is in an awe-inspiring Pacino-level toupee .......with a highly dubious accent, kissing a girl aggressively (acting!)
BUT I've sat through a lot of stuff in 2022 that I wouldn't watch again - this years been Godawful - even the acclaimed stuff has been "Meh" so far ......The Northman.......The Batman........BUT I'd watch this hot trash 5 times in a row while eating Chipotle takeout with a full case of cheap beer.
Behold........... Peter Five Eight

Lol! Why do you keep trying to sell " triple crown nominations" as if it's something that matters when comparing great actors . It needs to be contextualised to matter. The easiest thing to do in the world is rack up Emmy Nominations if you are in a long-running show that they like. Alec Baldwin has 22 "triple crown nominations " (the vast majority of them yearly repeat Emmy nods for 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live). Baldwin is fine actor and a talented man, but 22 "triple crown" nominations (including lone Oscar and Tony nods) doesn't put him in "greatest of all-time actor conversations". Susan Lucci isn't in Meryl Streep territory because she was nominated 21 times for a Daytime Emmy, giving her 21 triple crown nominations. She's a solid soap actress, no more, no less. Lucci isn’t even as good an actress as non-Oscar nominated actresses like Michelle Yeoh or Jamie Lee Curtis.Keeping it, on topic, that trailer is fucking horrrible . Badly acted and just bizarrely camp. I know Spacey wants to get back to acting, but if he's got to sink this low, he's better off retiring and enjoying his millions.
