One of the major shocks of my, hmmm, adult life was when I found out that the ATC song 'Around the World' was actually a cover of a Russian song by a band called Ruki Vverh! which I used to love when I was a kid. The worldwide-famous version: And the original: One of the very few times that a Russian song actually turned into an international hit (even if via a different band). Such national pride

I was bugged for the longest time about the saying 'the exception that proves the rule'. People just seemed to use this saying in situations where it makes no sense whatsoever, like
- Oh, it's always sunny in July. - But eh, it's raining right now. - Yeah, the exception that proves the rule.
and it just seemed like such a useless saying that doesn't actually mean anything. Then someone told me how to actually use it (that you know, the exception should actually imply the rule and not just be something seemingly random), and it made so much more sense. It seems to be somewhat disputed what the saying means and that there are at least two interpretations of it, but I'm just happy that it makes sense now heh.

I love Gidget but for the longest time I thought Patty Duke was Gidget in a movie or something (she wasn't): girl + midget = Gidget - how could she not have been Gidget? Then after I got it through my head that she was never Gidget I found out way later that the "Astin" in her name was from being married to Gomez Addams...... Everybody seemed to know both of these things and not even think about the fact that they knew them - they just knewYears later I saw Panic in Needle Park which I often would tell everyone was Al Pacino's 1st movie.......then I found out much later that it wasn't.........technically he was briefly in ..........a Patty Duke movie

Chinese Food containers in at least America, open up to form a plate. I don't know how it is in other countries, but all Chinese Food Containers in American can be turned into a plate. It's not necessarily a "noodles cube".

It's not necessarily a "noodles cube". I was watching the video and expected noodles to collapse once the container was opened, but they kept a cubic shape. It made me laugh and confirmed you shouldn't get takeaway noodles (nor spaghetti). Some foods should be eaten immediately.

Stick 'em in the microwave for a bit and they're back to normal
