So I'm blasting through this again in anticipation of the new Season. I'm about halfway through Season 3, and that will make it three full watches of the show. It is still so frickin' funny this time around. I effing love this show!!!! I'm noticing so many gags that seem fresh to me too. A particular favourite being this gem from Tahani: “I made a complete fool of myself tonight. I interrupted your big speech and badly stained my cargo pants, which, I have to admit, are quite comfortable. Oh, God, what’s happened to me? I’m praising off-the-rack separates!”the good place is my background music while cleaning. Lmao. I plan on rewatching again before season 4. Oh so who do you think are the other two test subjects for jason and eleanor? Im guessing donkey doug's girfriend and eleanor's ex.

For Eleanor, I guess her Mom possibly...or one of her two friends, Dress Bitch or the other one.

Well that was disappointing. Derek made me chuckle a couple of times, but fingers crossed for better times ahead.

It was a step down, but I still had fun with it. I just hope they pull something out of the bag with 4. Kimmy Schmidt had an identical in quality first 3 seasons and managed to go out on a high, so I'll hold out hope this will finish in a good place.

"It's like studying for a test and then acing the test, it's cheating!"
Some funny stuff ... but definitely weak. To be fair, though, these two-parter openers work better when they're, you know, actually back-to-back.

Man oh man was episode two a let down also. It was a slight step up from the premiere, but not much. I'm really disappointed so far.

I can't believe they're persisting with Kirby Howell Baptiste's character and her diabolical Aussie accent.

I feel like after that last episode that we can't say nearly enough about how great Ted Danson is in this show. Even during his dead serious talk with Eleanor still manages to crack you up by the end of it.

Of the problems this show has now, Ted Danson (or any of the lead cast for that matter) is not one of them. He really is fantastic in it.

Don't understand how that's a different role from playing a demon who's in charge of a superficially nice neighborhood of Hell but okay.

So thankfully the show has gotten back on track. They finally gave Tahani something to do this episode and she was the star of the show. A genuinely great episode, with lots of laugh out loud bit for everyone.

Man this Season is messy so far. I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt for now and assume they know what they're doing, but it seems to me that they should be more tight at this point, with the show coming so close to concluding.
Episode 4 itself was decent overall. A few good laughs were had, mostly from peak stupid Jason.
