I was just looking over the log of 1990 films I have seen for Tyler's poll about ranking Meryl Streep, and I was struck yet again by the idea that 1990 was a very good year for supporting actresses. Many fine performances were given. Here are some of my favorites alphabetically (some giving good work in more than one film) I also made an attempt to include people who even in a minute or two of film made an impression.:

well, from 18 movies I've seen from 1990 the only two performances that really stick out to me are Annette Bening and Blythe Danner

one worth mentioning that isn't on your list is Elizabeth Pena in Jacob's Ladder. She barely misses my lineup.
