I know these are meaningless but still, it's so exciting to know we're so close to awards season!

Two more winners announced:
Breakout Ensemble: Mudbound Animation: Coco
I bet they gave the animation award to Pixar's COCO without even seeing it.

_Best Animation Picture: Coco
_Best Breakout Ensemble Cast: Mudbound (Carey Mulligan, Garrett Hedlund, Mary J. Blige, Jason Mitchell, Jason Clarke, Rob Morgan, Jonathan Banks)
Straight Outta Compton won Best Breakout Ensemble Cast in 2015 but it is strange that this year won Mudbound especially with well-known names in the cast. I would have preferred this award to be won by the cast of It.

I know these are meaningless but still, it's so exciting to know we're so close to awards season! Yes, I think this is important to repost. These "awards" are bought and paid for. They are interesting because they do signal the beginning of awards season, and also you see which studios are willing to open their pocketbooks and what they're promoting the most which can be helpful. Other than that though, I don't think they're of any significance.

Jake Gyllenhaal - Best Actor Kate Winslet - Actress
Not surprising. Gyllenhaal is campaigning hard already, he certainly wants the nomination. With so many mixed reviews this will not help much Winslet though.

Winslet's not going down without a fight, but she might be better off sitting this year out, tbh.
