I know he's not the best... human being... but he's always been one of my favorite actors and even though his career was pretty much in the shitter anyways it's a little sad to see him go.

Yes, I always thought that there was something a little bit off of about him ever since I heard about the whole Sean Young story. Not to say that she's not crazy either, but I always felt that there was more to it then just her being at fault. Then in the last few years, the creep factor has gone off the charts which is unfortunate because I always enjoyed him as an actor. Plus, I'll be sad that I guess this means no more Family Guy appearances. Call me simple, but I would always laugh whenever Peter laid the same trap to get rid of Woods.

His collaborations with Oliver Stone are truly remarkable.
But at the same time, he hasn't done anything noteworthy since Too Big to Fail.

Good riddance. His career ended in the 90s as far as I'm concerned

At best, Disney might get some last minute mileage out of him.

He was basically retired anyway, I don't remember when was the last time I saw him in a movie. It's obvious that nobody wants to hire him anymore. Shame. He's a total jerk and I think it was Scott Weinberg who once said that to find out the truth about him was the most disappointing aspect of Twitter. That being said, he indeed was a terrific actor. "Vampires", "True Believer", "Videodrome", "Once Upon a Time in America" and "Onion Field" are among my favorite performances. "Cop", "Best Seller" and "Diggstown" are underrated stuff as well.

Yeah, it's really disappointing to see what he's become (or what I guess he has been for awhile), but there's hardly anything from him work-wise that I'd turn away from. Recently, I thought he was legit award-worthy and scary as hell in the Straw Dogs remake.

Oh honey, I always seem to get him confused with Peter Weller...

He gave some really fucking great performances throughout his career. Salvador, Ghosts of Mississipi, his work on TV, but my favourite performance was in Once Upon a Time in America, great film, great work from James Woods. But yes, he was a son of a bitch but heck...

Can you even imagine what the girls on 'The Virgin Suicides' set had to deal with?

Hmm...I’ll be curious if this sticks or not. This is bittersweet. I can’t stand most of his crap on Twitter, but I think he’s excellent as an actor.

Easy to retire when you have zero offers.

Well, he pretty much ran his course. Not really much he could offer since the peak of his career. Now it's all just the best of luck with his next phase.

Bullshit. This was a prank from the start. Woods trolled everyone for the laughs for a few days, and I'm 95% confident he always intended to do so.

I really thought he was done already. I honestly can't recall the last thing I saw him in. He was a good actor, but he isn't someone I'll miss or anything.
