So I just beaten the story. I would say it's amazing if not better than the first. I'm still playing to get that 100% I promised to myself. Anyone else beaten the story? It sucks how Arthur dies because of Tuberculosis and later you control as John who we learned the origin story of how he came together with him and his family as well Uncle in West Elizabeth, Great Plains.

I'm starting a second playthrough. I missed a lot of stuff in my first.

I'm starting a second playthrough. I missed a lot of stuff in my first. What did you miss? An achievement/trophy? If so, is it Lending a Hand? That can easily be missable. I already have all the missable trophies but I'm likely going to start a new one so that way I can do the 70 gold missions easier with dead eye tonics since replaying them gets rid of it.

Nah I got all of the missable trophies. I just want to fully upgrade the camp this time. I like Arthur much more than John, and I miss interacting with the gang in the camp.

How many hours did you sink into the first playthrough? Around 55 hours. Dayyyyuuuuummmmm. 55 hours AND you missed a lot of stuff? That makes the full game like 70-80 hours. Nice. ...but of course I have no PS4.

Something super creepy happens when you get 100% completion.

So far, I already have 31/34 trophies. Right now, I'm doing a new playthrough to do Gold Rush rather than having to deal with the replay bullshit.

This honestly might be the best game ever made.
Without a doubt, one of the best stories ever put to the screen by either a game or movie.

So I wrote to Santa to give me a PS4 (despite being an xbox guy before switching to PC gaming) for Christmas.

Maybe, just maybe... when the Angels win the pennant.

This honestly might be the best game ever made. Without a doubt, one of the best stories ever put to the screen by either a game or movie. While it's a great game, and in my top 10, I can't say it's the best or even Rockstar's best for that matter. In fact, I SLIGHTLY prefer the first game still. But that's just me. Then again, maybe because I feel like one of the biggest flaws of the games was the 100% completion. It's fucking stupid. Trying to beat Gambler 8 can go fuck itself. It's not even based on skill. Even some of the other gambling challenges had some sort of skill. Don't get me wrong, still love it, but I've always felt Rockstar's weaker points was making a proper 100% completion. BTW, I now have 33/34 trophies. All I need is the 70 gold medal trophies. I'm already halfway Here's some tips for those who want to go for it: 1. Start a new playthrough, because replaying it will result you having an inferior stats as well as lower ammo and little to no tonics. 2. SAVE before you start a mission so that way you don't have to 3. SELL as much health items because most missions require not use any. 4. Get as much deadeye tonics as you can as well as refill after a mission.. 5. Get a fast horse or reach it up to level 4. Or just get as much stamina as you can. 6. MEMORIZE the mission so you'll likely have to play twice anyway. This goes without saying. Source though due note: It MAY contain spoilers so don't click on the link I'll show so you have to take my word for it if you decide not to. *SPOILERS* psnprofiles.com/trophies/8370-red-dead-redemption-2/ARH65512

Just beat this a couple of days ago. Got 81% of the 100% completion without trying, which isn’t too bad. Took me almost 60 hours to do.
This becomes the only game where I actually teared up/cried on more than one occasion. What a masterpiece of a game this is. Completely blew my expections out of the water. Best game ever made imo.

I'm still pissed that I can't get this off Steam. Nor can I even get the first.

I'm still pissed that I can't get this off Steam. Nor can I even get the first. I'm not sure if you played the first, but I pretty well despised it. So there are differing opinions out there. I found it to be a pointless series of sidequests that never coheres into a narrative. Break these horses for me, kill this guy, gather some flowers for some old guy. It is fairly humorless and boring, the controls are mediocre, and I actively disliked around 4/5 of the characters (I only cared for MacDougall and his racist speeches about native savagery as his native assistant stands around stonefaced). I've never played a GTA game, but it sounds like it's pretty much one of those. So if you like GTA, maybe you'll enjoy RDR. I thought it was crap.

Well luckily, I just got The Witcher 2 and 3 off Steam for a whopping $15. So I'll be roaming around in a Polish olden times Fallout-esque series for a while.
