Dear lord...
There's no way The Seed Bearer doesn't get renamed. It just screams controversy. Also it just sounds really icky and makes my skin crawl.

bump Avatar 2 & 3 are now in post production ! And take it with a grain of salt but the sequel titles have apparently been revealed . The BBC has “seen documentation” which seems to confirm the titles of the new films, listing them as Avatar: The Way of Water, Avatar: The Seed Bearer, Avatar: The Tulkun Rider and Avatar: The Quest for Eywa. www.denofgeek.com/us/movies/avatar/277384/avatar-sequels-titles-revealedI'll admit those are some goofy ass titles ("The Seed Bearer"??! ) but James Cameron doesn't do what James Cameron does for James Cameron. James Cameron does what James Cameron does because James Cameron is... James Cameron. Good. As much as I want to see what Cameron has up his sleeve with these sequels, I hope this allows Sigourney to go and do something interesting that I really want to see. Like Alien 5. sigh. Keeping hope alive.

The Seed Bearer sounds like a Grindr nickname.

The amount of sardonic dismissiveness is hilarious. Hopefully Cameron will prove everyone wrong again.

The Seed Bearer sounds like a title someone would come up with in one of our semi-annual "Pornify a movie title" threads.

Spending money like that, James Cameron should run for Congress.

at this point, I've totally stopped caring about Avatar sequel news. Cameron has been talking about the sequels for nearly 10 years now...

I know everyone said this about the first one, but this has serious bomb potential.

I'm no box office predicting expert but come on , if those Fast & Furious films can make ridiculous amounts of bank at the box office(esp in China) then so can these Avatar sequels .

F&F built their brand by constantly releasing sequels. It's been ten years since Avatar and even though it made all that money it just doesn't have the lasting cultural footprint that other blockbuster franchises do. It's not like I'm predicting a bomb, but it's a possibility especially with how much money is being spent here.

This just in from Pandora: James Cameron says the Avatar sequels have reached a major milestone with the completion of all principal photography involving main cast members.

No matter what Jimmy does, his underwater effects will look WAY better than Aquaman.

Looking forward to seeing if Edie the Great can replicate the Sigourney trick of making the garbage Cameron writes sound of this Earth.

I'm really looking forward to Avatar 2. Can't wait to see what James Cameron has up his sleeve for it. He has mentioned that he wants to include underwater sequences in it which sounds very cool. Most likely won't come close to what the 1st one made at the box office but Cameron is the king at making sequels so I'm confident that it'll deliver in terms of being a groundbreaking cinematic spectacle . We shall see.

I mean, Cameron could pull a T2 out of this and make it better than the first... but the only issue here with that is that I really enjoy T1 as well, whereas Avatar 1... not so much.
Still, never count out Cameron... though I don't think any of the sequels will come close to the original's popularity.

Yeah I think 4 or 5 sequels is beyond overkill (and I'm a big fan of the 1st one). Cameron has said that Avatar 4 & 5 may not even happen (it'll depend on how successful Avatar 2 will be) . And then there's those goofy as hell titles for the sequels that got leaked (Avatar 3: The Seed Bearer or something ) . Cameron may be biting off more than he can chew here but as you mentioned , never count out James Cameron.
