The End of Evangelion (1997) Out 1 (1971) Eureka (2000) Archangel (1990) Jigoku (1960) The first one stands out above the rest right now from what I've read about it. Have seen Out 1 since I posted this - great, nuts experience, maybe the best film about improv (among other things) I've seen. I own Archangel and will watch that soon, probably whenever I get around to revisiting some of Maddin's other stuff. Evangelion I'll likely see at some point this year. The other two I don't know about, hopefully not too long from now.

Ikiru (1952, Akira Kurosawa) The Best Years of our Lives (1946, William Wyler) Snowman (2017, Tomas Alfredson) Tokyo Story (1953, Yasujiro Ozu) High and Low (1963, Akira Kurosawa) or Bob, le Flambeur (1956, Jean-Pierre Melville) Nearly two years later I can say, that I've seen all those six films Loved them all except for Snowman, which was one of my biggest disappointments in a movie theatre.
High and Low as well as Ikiru entered my Top 100 (well, if I find finally the time to re-fix my official list ...)
So my new Top 5 Most Wanted Movies: J'Accuse (2019, Roman Polanski)
Tenet (2020, Christopher Nolan) Yi Yi (2000, Edward Yang)
Harakiri (1962, Masaki Kobayashi) Akahige (1965, Akira Kurosawa)
But there are obviously many more.

1. Kino's Journey (I found it buried in my favorites tab today. Still thinking when I'm gonna finally get around to it. I trust Martin_Stett's opinion a lot) 2. Hanagatami 3. Metropolitan (1990) 4. The Legend of Tarzan (2016) 5. Bunuel In the Labyrinth of the Turtles (2019)
HM: Farewell, My Queen (2012)
The last one I can wait, but the first five seem like must sees, immediately. Haven't seen any of these before except Metropolitan.
