I've never seen the Cannes cut. I would recommend going with the regular and if you like it enough you can check out the Cannes one. Generally any conversation around the movie is talking about the regular cut that was given a proper release.

I don't even know which version I saw, but I thought it was a pretty good film. I saw it on TV so maybe it was the regular version... I agree with Moonman too, Rocky Dwayne was great.

I've only seen the regular version which I sorta liked btw. Thought it was a pretty interesting film(a bit confusing though I might add) and would wish Richard Kelly would get another shot at directing a film. My favorite sequence in this is Timberlake's character dancing to that Killers song. Thought that was well done

For shame CheeseCake.
I've only seen the original cut which I thought was quite incredible. Rock is MVP.

They're both good - although the Cannes cut is a lot more ambitious. The chronology is mostly the main difference, plus some soundtrack changes. But overall, the theatrical cut works for its own merits. Either way, its an ambitious, messy, relevant film.
I'd say go with theatrical, and if you love it enough, go ahead with Cannes. They're not that different.

It's the crux of everything Kelly was going for.

The Cannes cut but I liked the opening in the theatrical cut better.
LOL at moronic comicman saying neither
