Just finished watching last night and I actually liked it quite a bit. Not ground-breaking or earth-shattering, but solid entertainment. It definitely takes A LOT of cues from True Detective (camera work, music, timeline jumps) and would have (without a doubt in my mind) been so much better had it been on a Netflix/HBO/Showtime/etc rather than Discovery so that it could have delved more into the darker aspects of the series.
Bettany is great, Noth is really good, Worthington's solid. I recommend it. Again, not gonna blow your socks off, but it's 6 hours of good entertainment.

It started off rough but I actually liked it quite a bit, especially as we saw more of Ted Kaczynski. Paul Bettany did an amazing job and really helped make the character complex and memorable. Like I doubt it's gonna happen but if he got an emmy nod next year, I'd be happy. Mark Duplass was also surprisingly good as his brother. And in general, I found the FBI profiling aspects to be pretty fascinating. Not a fan of Sam Worthington in general and his character experiences a fairly predictable arc, but I thought he was decent here. His American accent still isn't perfect but it felt like an improvement over some of his past performances.

Totally forgot to give a shout-out to Duplass who was amazing (second only to Bettany). Did you like Keisha Castle-Hughes? Also nice seeing Jeremy Bobb outside of The Knick, he was decent enough. Hughes wasn't given enough to stand out in any way but she served her part well enough. Bobb was really good once they stopped the whole "I'm the hurdle in your department" of Stan.

Yeah Hughes was okay. Didn't get a lot to really do. Jeremy Bobb had a fairly cliche role but I liked his character more as it went on. I thought he was really good in the 7th episode when he arrests Ted.
