Has anyone else managed to catch this on the festival circuit yet?
This is going to be a hard one to top for my favourite of 2017. A stunning achievement. One of the most sensual, sumptuous experiences I've had with a film in a long time. Timothee Chalamet's leading performance is astounding - a very sensitively observed performance that allows lots of space to breathe and to linger in the emotions he projects. Hammer is gorgeous, and plays perfectly opposite our lead actor. Stuhlbarg is also superb, especially in the final monologue. Honestly, it's hard to fault the film. The cinematography, production design and costuming are all impeccably designed and the music is so gorgeous (will definitely be gunning for a Original Song nomination for Sufjan Stevens!) The only gripe I had with it is that the female characters aren't particularly well-developed, and it would've been great to have seen them with some further development; but the film is preoccupied with the two leads.
Cannot wait for everyone to see this. Guadagnino's best. 10/10

Damn I'm jealous. At least it comes out pretty early in the UK, so the wait won't be too long.

Yeah, I saw it at the Sydney fest. and? Pretty good. Chalamet, Hammer and Stuhlbarg are all fantastic and both the cinematography and score are just wonderful. I feel like it dragged a bit in places and went on for a bit long but maybe I just felt like that because this movie isn't traditionally my kind of thing. My #9 of the year and 4th favourite that I saw at the Sydney Film Festival.

Yep I saw it in February. Such a fantastic, natural, touching, HONEST, and well acted film. I loved every aspect of it. A brilliant film through and through.
