This is so difficult because there's so many films to pick for the bottom 3.
After narrowing it down though I think these might be the worst to me,
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close - I find a lot of problems with their rankings, but it's hard to argue with this one being on the bottom. I can see why people complain about the new voting system when movies like this make it in. It probably represents all the reasons people use "Oscar bait" as something derogatory, and the worst part is that it actually worked.
The Reader - A film so bad that they had to change the rules of the Best Picture system after it was nominated for Best Picture. It's another Stephen Daldry entry to boot. I thought he showed promise with Billy Elliot and The Hours even though I'm not a big fan of those movies like others are, but it's like he became obsessed with making films to win awards and started thinking about all the things he could cram into them to get award bodies to shower him with more love. Tom Hooper also seems like he's been infected by the same disease, but thank goodness, The Danish Girl wasn't something that AMPAS fell for.
The Blind Side - It was really difficult ignoring the Hallström films, the Miramax/TWC middlebrow Oscar bait, and the Eddie Redmayne films, but for me this ranks at the bottom for how much of a white savior movie it is. Sandra Bullock and even Tim McGraw do what they can, but they're not enough to overcome how bad Quinton Aaron is. Even if the writing for the character of Michael Oher has problems, I think that there's a lot of black actors that would have done so much more in the role if given the chance. Then, there's the obligatory "cute" kid, racist "friends" of female protagonist, former "friends" and acquaintances of male protagonist that resent new lifestyle that male protagonist now has, who look like they've been sent from central casting, racist antagonist at the football game that male protagonist must show up, tough teacher with assignment that male protagonist must display his mettle on and how much he's learned from being saved by white family, useless government officials, etc.

She should have won the oscar for REVOLUTIONNARY ROAD instead of that piece of crap.
