@urbanpatrician - Looooooooooooooooove We Are The Best, a joyous movie that completely gets young people in an entirely different color and mood of film than his punishing great film Lilja. It's some kind of miracle that one guy could make both pictures, and apply the right level of horror to one and sly humor and insight to the other.
I love Moodysson in general but in We Are The Best! I'm responding to his worldview more than anything, he just gets it.....

These are in alphabetical order because I haven’t gotten around to ranking them yet.
01. Amour (M. Haneke, 2012) 02. Before Midnight (R. Linklater, 2013) 03. Blade Runner 2049 (D. Villeneuve, 2017) 04. Dunkirk (C. Nolan, 2017) 05. Mad Max: Fury Road (G. Miller, 2015) 06. The Master (P.T. Anderson, 2012) 07. Phantom Thread (P.T. Anderson, 2017) 08. A Separation (A. Farhadi, 2011) 09. Whiplash (D. Chazelle, 2014) 10. The Wolf of Wall Street (M. Scorsese, 2013)
Without doubt the worst decade for film thus far.
