Nil for Beckinsale and Bullock.
Mirren 2001: Supporting Actress, 'Gosford Park' (By FAR her best performance - my winner is Winslet in 'Iris,' though)

Bullock - ehh. I don't remember which ones I liked her in. A few mainstream roles but not in her two nominations. None for now. Good at playing the hapless girl who straight guys want to be best friends with. Mirren - supporting actress for the comfort of strangers (1990) and lead actress for the last station (2009). Need to see way more from her, her British stuff primarily. Beckinsale - supporting win for the last days of disco (1998) and a lead nomination for shooting fish (1997). Fun fact: I enjoy more beckinsale movies than any actress apart from Ingrid Bergman. I liked her down to brokedown palace and uncovered. I would also put her in consideration for Underworld (2003). Year is probably too strong but she was a really amazing vampire!!!! She was my first love. Beckinsale is actually a very gifted actress . She doesn't always make choices worthy of her talent but when she finds the right material... Back in the 90's , a lot of people thought that she would become the new Julie Christie.

That is a hot, hot trio.
A win for Mirren's The Queen and a big, big win for Bullock's Gravity.
And of course, all three have won my heart.

Mirren: one nomination for Gosford Park. In my Top 10 for Teaching Mrs. Tingle, The Queen and The Last Station.
Bullock: nominations for The Blind Side and Gravity. Top 10 for Speed, While You Were Sleeping and Miss Congeniality.
Beckinsale: nothing so far (but I have yet to see Love and Friendship).

It is indeed very underrated. Mirren playing the villain in this is endlessly entertaining and fun to watch. She elevated the material in an enormous way. She would make my lineup in any other year of that decade, but 1999 was so strong that she comes only as my sixth.

I also liked Maria Coughlan's performance as the funny and supportive friend . That scene always makes me laugh so hard especially Helen's face

Gotta be honest ........I couldn't care less about Sandra Bullock or Kate Beckinsale ........but I love Helen Mirren out of all proportion - an all-time GOAT and a personal all-time fave........ a Triple Crown winner and sexy af too.......even today .........at 75. Born July 26 1945. So I found the thread which celebrates her B-day and I added the photo because why the hell not.....Happy Birthday

Don't really care for any of them. Too inconsistent for my taste. Mirren I didn't even know about until I was in my 20s, as Excalibur was her only credit I'd seen as a kid/teenager, Bullock just does too much trash (I like Demolition Man, Speed, and some other 90s hits, but I just didn't care about her for most of her career), and Beckinsale? A couple Stillman movies, a DGG movie, lots of trash, a cameo in The Aviator...oof.
