The Oscar Buzz Group 100 Performances will be presented on the following dates:
- Supporting Actor & Actress - Monday, August 7th at 3 pm EST
- Leading Actor & Actress - Tuesday, August 8th at 3 pm EST
[VOTING IS CLOSED]
Not even the death of the IMDb message boards could stop it - after three years, The Oscar Buzz Group 100 Performances is back! Here’s how it works:
Create four lists, consisting of what you believe to be the best film performances of all time (25 in each category - Leading Actor, Leading Actress, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress). Then, send them to me in a private message and I will compile everyone’s votes into a single list.
RULES/GUIDELINES (Please read before submitting):
1. You must send your lists to me in a private message, either on here or on Facebook (I'm Matthew Stewart there). Lists posted in public will not be counted, but you are welcome to post all the FYCs you want.
2. You don’t have to send in all four of your lists at once, as long as I get all four of them by the deadline. Also, if you want to make changes to your lists after you send them, you may, as long as you let me know before the deadline.
3. Please number your lists from 1 to 25, 1 being the best. Each list must contain exactly 25 performances.
4. If you want to vote for an actor who played the same character in several films, you must specify one film. You may not simply say, for example, “Ian McKellen in The Lord of the Rings trilogy”. If you want to include more than one of the performances on your list, you must rank them separately.
5. It is up to you to decide whether a performance is leading or supporting. It doesn’t matter what the Academy or anyone else says – these are your lists. Also, please do not include the same performance on both your leading and supporting lists – pick one.
6. TV performances of any kind are ineligible. However, performances in Netflix movies, etc. are fine (such as Idris Elba in Beasts of No Nation).
If you have questions, please ask.
