I was worried for this film since it was opening between Transformers and Spider-Man, but since the former is doing terribly in the U.S., my hope for Baby Driver is restored. There's a ton of hype and I'm sure its RT rating will help it tremendously.

That's pretty good for this type of movie. I forgot it opened today.

$5.707 for Baby Driver on Wednesday. Not a bad number, hopefully it'll do around 18m for the weekend, which shouldn't be bad given the budget.

Im surprised that franchise has such staying power. It's going to the lowest grossing film in the series yet. Fratique and the poor reception of the Minions film hurt it. Still it should be successful.

Apparently the film was held back for a few years, and even Will Ferrell's name couldn't save it.
