Fuck them for that ending. Fuck them so hard. Just lost all interest going forward. Wow, didn't expect that level of harshness. What about it bothered you so (especially considering what the comics did with that particular plot twist)?

I know nothing about the comics, so that's no good to me

Well, let me just say this without giving anything more away: don't quit watching.

That season finale was frustrating, the Denis sub-plot was annoying. Why did Genesis not work against The Saint of Killers in that fighting scene though? He said he was not hearing what Preacher was saying..But I don't know, it felt weird. Anyway, this is a fucking awesome kinda B-Movie TV Show, clearly overlooked by many people. Pip Torrens was perfect casting, all the actors actually I believe Genesis only works on someone with a soul (or touched with God's light), which the Saint didn't have prior to getting a piece of Jesse's. He's susceptible now. I love the way the Denis subplot ended, but I was hoping that Cassidy would find a body or something in Denis's room that would make him feel much more viscerally sickened by what he'd done. I know the implication is that Cass knew what Denis had done/was capable of doing, but still. Gilgun absolutely sold that scene, though. Pip Torrens was the season MVP by a mile, though (sorry, Ruth/Joe). I never thought they'd get Herr Starr 100% from the comics, but they actually one-upped Ennis's character and made him much richer. Yeah, I think that was the reason. It didn't work at first because he didn't have a soul, but then he had Preacher's soul and it starded to work, and then it didn't work again on their second fight -- it's a very power weapon for sure, this Genesis power. I was particularly not a big fan of the Denis subplot (perhaps having two vampires was too much for me) but I kinda knew it would end in bad terms, and it did, as foreshadowed. I really loved how they ended the subplot in a hearbreaking way though. I actually thought Tulip would find Denis' body, which would make things also very sad. Gilgun is a really fucking underrated actor, perhaps the MVP of the show so far. But yeah, Pip Torrens is a scene-stealer, sometimes in a subtle way, other times in a very comically and absurd way, I love the character (in the comic, which I'm still reading, but especially in the show). Can't wait for Season 3.

Preacher is ending with season 4. i won’t lie, this is disappointing. I figured it had at least a couple more seasons left but hopefully the show will end on a high note.
