Based on output from the beginning if film to 1979, which is your favorite movie studio in terms of films?
Mine is, the glossy, glorious MGM. The 70s were a roughtime for them and in the 60s they were hit and miss, but oh, were their glory days the greatest.

I like seeing the RKO logo, wonder whatever became of them? Ah, RKO. Such a sad story. They were the last of the major studios to be firmed, in 1929. They overexpanded too quickly after initial success and had a rough ride in the depression. In the 40s, their fortunes had improved, but then Howard Hughes bought them. Hughes' eccentric behavior, costly productions, and avid support of the blacklist caused many to flee from the studio which became awash in red ink. 1952 was their last choice year. A tire company bought them in 1955, but to no avail. The last classic era RKO films were released in 1960.
