Oh honey, I'm reading this now but it's not as good as I thought it would be. I always felt sorry for Nancy as she was diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child and also reportedly had a really high IQ. Sid Vicious was the child of a junkie so he really didn't have a chance. What's really interesting is neither had any talent whatsoever but plenty of attitude...

Umberto Eco's The Name of the Rose (incredible) for my Latin class, supplemented with some leisurely-read Pynchon (Bleeding Edge, also incredible).

I'm now reading this biography Gerda Taro, who was one of the very first female war photographers (as well as being Robert Capa's girlfriend). In the 1930s she went off to shoot the Spanish Civil War and was flattened by a tank. She was twenty-six years old.

El laberinto de los espĂritus by Carlos Ruiz Zafon
Still have 100 pages, but so far it's terrific. As nearly every one of his books.

The Tin Roof Blowdown by James Lee Burke.
Then I'll read Strong Motion by Jonathan Franzen. The only one of his five novels I haven't read yet.

How are you liking it?! It's been on my to-to-read list for 3 years now but I'm actually gonna read it next -- I'm currently in Budapest where they just finished up wrapping the movie and thought it might be fun to read it while there.

Very entertaining book (spy/thriller/romance) with interesting characters.I highly recommand it. ps : did you get the chance to see/meet any of the actors ?

Finally found a copy of Michael Connelly's first Harry-Bosch-Novel "Black Echo", the only one I haven't read. I'm halfway through and so far it's as great as expected.

Lovecraft Country by Matt Ruff, which has been announced as Jordan Peele's next film. So far, I am really grooving onto it, as I am a sucker for all things Lovecraftian (except the racism).

Misery by Stephen King
I'm only 40 or so pages in, but damn, he goes right in with the tension on this one, it's ramped up from the get go. I'm loving it so far.
