Oh honeys, I know it's wrong to say this but Bardem & Sevigny are mesmerising in this! Episode 6 is a masterclass in acting. I'm hoping Sevigny is stepping into Lange's shoes as a Murphy muse... "It's Michelle Pfeiffer... She's so fuckin' elegant." - Erik Menendez "Fuckin' smokeshow." - Lyle Menendez Well, a 10/10 for that... No notes there.  Mattsby Viced Javi ----- Now, as for the show... Is it overstuffed and overlong? Yes... What Ryan Murphy production isn't? Is it also completely absorbing and incredibly well-acted... Yes.* Cooper Koch and Nicholas Chavez are genius casting in what feel like star-making performances. Bardem and Sevigny have already been raved above, so I won't go into too much detail about them (other than to say that Bardem is at once both outrageously larger-than-life and quietly, terrifyingly menacing... he completely nails the tonal shifts of this character... pacinoyes this is his best performance in years). Ari Graynor continues to be television's secret weapon (she was best in show in Mrs. America to my mind), commanding the screen with incredible presence - she nearly steals every scene she's in. *Except for Nathan Lane as Dominick Dunne. Jesus, what a hambone.  Please cut these scenes and the show immediately improves. |

You know Gen Z has started a whole TikTok campaign to get them freed? You're right, girls are obsessed with Erik in particular. Koch is really great in the show... One of the episodes is just one long, continuous take of him recounting the alleged sexual abuse to his lawyer... The camera slowly zooms in, until it's just one extreme close-up - similar to the confession scene in Sophie's Choice - he's absolutely riveting. I really hope this role opens up his career - he deserves it. I'm going to check out some of his previous films - one is a body horror called Swallowed co-starring Jena Malone.  Edit: Oh, and there's to be a new documentary about them dropping on Netflix in October (this had their involvement, unlike the show): |

Javier Bardem for the Emmy next year? I haven't seen him this alive or inspired onscreen since 2010. Ryan Murphy may be the king of trash but he has great taste in actors.... and knows how to exploit them. Chloë Sevigny is a lot of fun.

With all this new abuse evidence, they need a new trial. I can't believe they couldn't talk about it in the second trial. No wonder they're serving life.

I think a lot of people changed their minds about the abuse allegations after that Menudo interview. They should get resentenced because they were not allowed to bring up the abuse in the second trial. The prosecutor didn't allow it because men don't get abused like that.....ugh.. that reason was inappropriate even for the 90s. |

Yes it's very well known here.It's like the Jon Benet and Lacey Peterson cases,they attract global interest.I'm lukewarm the show so far but the performances are excellent,particularly Chavez and Koch. |
