Looks like if there's a bad decision to be made, Trump will make it. Even employing his own logic, whatever short-term economic gains he expects from this decision is outweighed heavily by the long-term economic impact that may see America fall terribly behind in a rapidly growing clean energy economy. Good to see some mayors and governors are committing themselves to the agreement and hopefully the majority of states follow through with that (though I expect it will mostly be a coastal thing, i.e. the states most affected by climate change).
This also reminds me of a funny thing Trae Crowder once said: "Some of these people, I swear, I really believe they would let Donald Trump burn their fuckin’ house down if the liberal next door had to choke on the smoke for 15 minutes, and that’s a goddamn shame."

USA is the biggest carbon polluter in history and now it leaves the agreement, very irresponsible. Wrong, you're thinking of China.

The US contributes 14% of the world's carbon emissions and is second only to China. This shouldn't be about being in a race to the bottom. China's irresponsibility doesn't give us license to be irresponsible ourselves, especially not when the future of our children and their children is at stake. Once again, Trump's stance can be summed as "America first, fuck the rest of the world." What he and his mindless lemming supporters don't realize is that those nationalistic policies will come back to bite them on the ass.

Thankfully this doesn't affect the rise of natural gas. Try as Trump may. he can only slow down, not stop the demise of coal jobs.
Anyone cheering this on, should consider themselves "anti-earth", as far as I'm concerned.

More and more, I start to wonder if Trump is just a Democratic plant put there to make the GOP look bad. It's the only explanation that would make sense.
No one could act that consistently stupid unintentionally, right? ...RIGHT?!

No one could act that consistently stupid unintentionally, right? ...RIGHT?! Well Bush acted pretty stupidly too, and Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Agreement is very much in line with the far-right nationalism he's been spewing for the last 12 months.
