You're always replying to what I post. It's a bit creepy dude I meant the chasing women part, hence why I bolded it. I'm aware I reply to you a lot, I reply to a shit ton of people during awards season. It's my favourite time of year.

France submitted a different film so Anatomy was not eligible. Yup, just realized that. Now I need to understand why. France has really been dropping the ball with its entries in the last few years. Because Triet has been outspoken about the French government.

* Happy For Ferrera who made a speech that really made me realize what women go through - how hard it is that's what she said - not like you Sausage Fest Masplainers who will talk endlessly about MALE actors but never, ever females .........just kidding, I like telling you guys to go join Parler sometimes and what not ....... * Happy Matt Damon, Nate Parker, Jamie Foxx, (convicted criminal) Jonathan Majors missed....I was worried there...... they were really close I'm sure * Happy For Letter To A Pig In Animated Short because it reminds me to get a BLT for Lunch

We really shouldn't be shocked about Ferrera. I went to see Barbie with a group of normies and they were fucking obsessed with her monologue. They couldn't stop talking about it for weeks.

Films with most Oscar nominations: All About Eve (1950)- 14 Titanic (1997)- 14 La La Land (2016)- 14 The Shape of Water (2017)- 13 Oppenheimer (2023)- 13 Shape of Water is so out of place here lmao.

Fellowship of the Ring, Benjamin Button and some more films got 13 nominations. I omitted them to place Oppy in top 5. Swap Shape for The Ring and it looks better.

I just realised that the only BP nominee this year without a screenplay nom is Killers of the Flower Moon. That's an iconic miss

Do you think Greta (& Baumbach) have a better chance at winning Screenplay due to her miss in Director? I mean, they were already pretty much set to win whichever category they were running in, especially as Nolan was going to take Director. It just depends on how much the Academy goes gaga for Oppenheimer, because last year shows that if they like a film, they might say fuck spreading the love. I think they were very much set to win Original, but not so much Adapted.

Because Triet has been outspoken about the French government. Wow. That's insane. I thought only countries like Iran did that. I honestly feel that the French Election Committee did not imagine the power and strength that Anatomy of a Fall was going to have. And after The Taste of Things (the French choice) won Best Director in Cannes.

Queen Thelma is now the most nominated editor of all time. She should've hit this record a few years ago but the fuckers snubbed her in 2013.

Hold up. Gangs of New York got 10 nominations and lost all. The Irishman got 10 nominations and lost all. And now Killers of the Flower Moon got 10 nominations... Will the Marty Curse of 10 continue?
