I'm quite happy with my Top 5! Alphabetically: Ingmar Bergman Sofia Coppola Louis Malle Luchino Visconti Zhang Yimou have you seen zhang yimou's Keep Cool? it's my favorite of his, a slapstick romcom of sorts, really off from what he usually does but it's great.

I haven't - my estimation of him is primarily from his gorgeous collaborations with Gong Li - but I will absolutely be on the lookout for this.
