Last night's film noir episode was really good stuff. not the funniest maybe, but i like when they go out on a limb once in a while like this and do something different, even if it sometimes ends up not working so well. this episode was a success though, charlie and dennis were especially great in this.

Edward Norton wishes that Motherless Brooklyn was as good as last night's IASIP episode was. I loved it. They did an excellent job of bridging the characters with film noir like Charlie's suspect list. Speaking of which, someone from Reddit posted all the names on it which was nice because I didn't get to read all the names on it.

I had to look up who he meant with "huh-wang"...didn't realize until now that Hwang is the name of Charlie and Frank's landlord, never recalled them calling him by name, lol.

While not that funny, it was an ambitious episode. The noir references were well done. And Glenn's Juilliard definitely showed in this episode. I don't understand how he doesn't branch out successfully in movies.

I didn't know that either until last night and reading through that thread. I also didn't realize that Pond was Bill Ponderosa.

lol, I never knew until now that the scene in "the gang hits the slopes" when Dennis falls while skiing and breaks his ankles is based off an actual clip of a skier. holy shit, that original clip might be even funnier than the IASIP version:
and of course, here's Dennis:

I feel terrible for laughing at the real life version. Just something about the way that guy screams after it happens for some reason.

This episode was hilarious. Charlie and his pizza hat had me in tears . And Charlie's face after Dee said ""God damn it, Charlie!" He's so cute.

Classic Sunny last night... Charlie/Dee with one of their best team-ups ever, and Frank's dancing in the background of a Mac/Dennis argument was the highlight. Hope everyone recognized that guy on the bus too...

yeah that was definitely the same guy on the bus that threw up on Dee the last time she took the bus, all those seasons ago, lol. good episode last night.

Really good episode last night. Love that the easel was back and the mocking of algorithms. I guess the Gang has another enemy too now, or at least Frank . Unfortunately the season finale is next week where we get two episodes, but apparently from Reddit and Wikipedia, it's not a two parter just the last two episodes shown together. Hopefully they end on a high note because this season was great even the two episodes that I thought were the weakest (the first one and the one with the waiter) were still very good.

That episode was kinda weird in how it just peters out at the end. Was expecting a much more absurd Sunny conclusion to that situation, and was a bit disappointed we didn't get it. Still tons of great stuff in that episode, especially with Frank's melon

I wish the preview before the second episode hadn’t spoiled the ending even though I probably would have guessed what would happen anyways. Still a great finale and very meta.
The first episode was good too, but maybe they tried to cover too many issues when abortion would have been more than enough to tackle. Not quite sure yet.

Yeah, last two episodes were solid and ended this on a strong note. Good season all around that I'd say marks a nice return to form.
Ep. 9 was definitely the funnier one, one of the funniest of the season tbh ... the finale has a stellar concept but wasn't as consistently funny certainly, but the ending is great. I'd say the streak from episodes 4 to 9 this season was pretty marvelous and one of the strongest the show has had in awhile -- and there were really no outright weak episodes this season, it was all pretty great.

Man, this season flew by. The last couple seasons have been a mixed bag, but this was mostly good and consistent the whole way through. The finale was inching its way to feeling like it was the last episode ever, haha.

haha, awesome. I wonder if Rob is getting better at not breaking as much, he used to always bust out laughing more than the others but these clips seem to show Glenn and Charlie breaking more often, lol. it's great whenever an old pro like DeVito breaks.
