Not surprised in the slightest. It looked mediocre at best. Still might check it out for the cast.

So, Woody will win for Three Billboards, then?

The wrap Brie Larson getting upstaged by another child actor? Shocker! Okay... THR :But the feature, which reunites the filmmaker with his Short Term 12 breakout star, Brie Larson, successfully captures the essence of the memoir, with exceptionally potent work by Woody Harrelson and Naomi Watts as the spirited, self-involved and willfully impoverished bohemians who subjected their four kids to a peripatetic, hardscrabble life but also, in the process, taught them to fend for themselves. Indiewire:Larson ameliorates most of these deficiencies. In the final act, she’s so in touch with the paradoxes of Jeanette’s adult conundrum that she singlehandedly elevates the movie above a rising tide of clichés. Larson’s nuanced performance expresses how she can resent her parents while being concerned for their well-being. Brie Larson and Woody Harrelson shine in ‘The Glass Castle’Brie Larson brings to life journalist Jeannette Walls’s 2005 memoir about a dreamer marked by her tough upbringing in an offbeat family.
Funny how you only highlighted the not so good review but there are many good reviews for her as well as the movie but I highly doubt it's any use arguing so.. And even funnier is how an Amy Adams fan is making fun of other actresses getting upstaged. Have fun with these bad reviews btw. I'm sure there are more to come to keep you happy 🤘

I'm actually pretty happy that the reviews are not as bad as I expected. Hell, they all have some good things to say so it's not a total trainwreck. Awards-wise, it's pretty dead but I just wanted it to be good which it seems to be. So yay!! And this is the first movie I'm gonna be watching in America so I'm dying to watch it yeaaaahh!!!

I wish Woody won something with this film. But I guess that´s not gonna happen

Dammit! I'm far from shocked, since the posters and trailers screamed mediocrity, but I was so rooting for this purely because I want Harrelson and especially ma girl Naomi to be big time contenders for some awards, maybe even getting their hugely deserved Oscar wins.
Oh well.

Ah, disappointing. I loved the trailer. Short Term 12 is one of my favorites of the decade.
