This feels like a top contender for a major award, perhaps Best Director? It also feels like a Palme Winner (although not with this jury.)

based on those two clips, it seems that Farrell will be giving the same performance here that he gave in The Lobster. I'm ok with that.

Sacred Deer will leave Cannes with some prize (perhaps director or Kidman, still) but I dont see how this tough horror movie is going to emerge as a contender at Oscars
Will be interesting to see what A24 does

Adam's movie is trending on Yahoo. I guess the word is out in regards to his performance. This one is a tough one cause I have no clue if it gets released in theatres.

They almost made Elba happen with doing a simultaneous streaming and very limited, qualifying theatrical release, so we'll see I dont expect Sandler to happen, but he'll be in the mix and still most likely receive a Globe nom If Netflix is truly serious about Mudbound and Meyerowitz Stories, perhaps they'll give them a stronger theatrical release a few weeks or so prior before streaming release

Nikola Grozdanović @nikgroz RADIANCE: a plodding, unremarkable story that's only interesting in spurts thanks to its audio-description narrative angle. #Cannes2017
Peter Bradshaw @peterbradshaw1 Naomi Kawase's demurely delicate Radiance finds in DVD audio description a metaphor for the act of noticing and need to communicate #Cannes
David Jenkins @daveyjenkins Radiance (Naomi Kawase) Like a fake Seinfeld movie within a fake Seinfeld movie. And not in a good way. #Cannes70

Nikola Grozdanović @nikgroz RODIN: laughably awful. More walk outs than the Kawase which says it all really. Embarrassing. The RODINT of #Cannes2017
Beatrice Behn @danslecinema #Rodin is everything that is horrible about arthouse cinema. Indulgent, narcissist, without depth, ambivalence & stale. Ugh. #Cannes2017
Peter Bradshaw @peterbradshaw1 Jacques Doillon, director of this excruciatingly boring film about Rodin, needs to sit down and think about what he has done #Cannes2017
Jason Gorber ✔ @filmfest_ca RODIN - as dreary as watching plaster dry, with Wiki-like dialogue that manages to kill the life even of the great art shown. #cannes2017
Arash Azizi ✔ @arash_tehran Predictably lousy biopic "Rodin" was justly booed by the audience at #Cannes2017 . Misses jungle for trees. 1/5

Early word on Good Time is very polarizing, so I wouldn't be shocked if there's a 50 50 split regarding reception this week Coppola has enough stans so Beguiled will have enough support to counter any potential trashing The Ramsay might get destroyed, though

erickohnVerified account @erickohn 2m2 minutes ago #TheBeguiled is a taut, elegant little thriller, impeccably performed, and often surprisingly funny. #Cannes2017
Kyle BuchananVerified account @kylebuchanan 35s36 seconds ago THE BEGUILED is a whole lotta fucking fun, ravishingly shot, with a "damn she's good" MVP performance from Kirsten Dunst #Cannes2017
david ehrlichVerified account @davidehrlich 50s50 seconds ago THE BEGUILED, to put it bluntly, fucking *rules.* #Cannes2017
Jordan Ruimy @mrruimy 1m1 minute ago THE BEGUILED - Sofia Coppola turns Eastwood's somewhat conventional film into a taut, tense and terrifically minimalist affair #Cannes2017
Richard LawsonVerified account @rilaws 2m2 minutes ago Totally bewitched by THE BEGUILED. Gorgeous, wicked thriller about women in wartime. Coppola's most narrative film to date #Cannes2017
FilmLand Empire @filmlandempire 3m3 minutes ago THE BEGUILED: steamy desires, simmering rivalries, the female gaze and some unexpected laughs too! #Cannes2017
Robbie CollinVerified account @robbiereviews 1m1 minute ago Sofia Coppola transforms The Beguiled from eager, lurid romp to witheringly elegant fuckboy takedown. Loved it. #Cannes70
Nikola Grozdanović @nikgroz 1m1 minute ago THE BEGUILED: Gorgeously-shot feminist Civil War fable. Coppola's best since LOST IN T. Nicole Kidman is on absolute fire at #Cannes2017
Elena Lazic @elazic Disappointed by Coppola's THE BEGUILED. A story stripped of its smartest, most exciting elements makes for a banal, boring film. #Cannes2017
Jason GorberVerified account @filmfest_ca 6m6 minutes ago THE BEGUILED - Sofia Coppola crafts a pitch perfect parlour piece, full of bleak comedy and dastardly deeds. #Cannes2017
Bilge EbiriVerified account @bilgeebiri 1m1 minute ago THE BEGUILED may disappoint those expecting something bigger or more pronounced, but it's pretty damn terrific.
Ken Adams @taybackx 3m3 minutes ago THE BEGUILED: Coppola just strips away the intrigues of original. But commitment to camp is v. commendable and fun. #Cannes2017

Marc v.d. Klashorst @marcvdklashorst 1m1 minute ago Good Time: hallucinatory trip through New York underbelly. More focused than previous work. But all surface gloss. #Cannes2017
VARIETY:
THR: Martyn Conterio @cinemartyn 1m1 minute ago Good Time - Of Mice and Con Men. A cracking crime drama featuring Robert Pattinson's best performance to date. #Cannes #Cannes2017
Ken Adams @taybackx 1m1 minute ago GOOD TIME: what a masterful genre film. Much more refined than messy (but still amazing) social realism of HEAVEN/ROSEMARY, #cannes2017
david ehrlichVerified account @davidehrlich 59s60 seconds ago GOOD TIME is an absolute *blast* with a melancholy heart… like Enter the Void directed by Sidney Lumet. Pattinson is next-level. #Cannes2017
Gregory Ellwood @thegregorye 2m2 minutes ago Good Time. Shrug. Pattinson is fine. Love electronic scores but this one really overpowers the movie. Kills the tension. #Cannes70

What a time to be alive when the two biggest contenders for Cannes Best Actor are Adam Sandler and Robert Pattinson.
