A movie star sex comedy going to theaters? Movies are back, baby.

The trailer is so unfunny. I hope the movie is better. Regardless, I will be seated on opening day to support my girl Jennifer Lawrence! ❤️

I think this looks pretty funny and certainly should be fun. I’d expect it to be a solid BO hit as well.

Violates every Left Wing Nutjob Twitter rule in 2023......... Caucasian girl (strike 1) who aggressively wants to fnck (strike 2) a white guy (that's 3), and who casually curses, gets mace in the face and also gets punched in the throat .....rather than exposing male toxicty because men - ew, while sitting in a barn in her Mennonite Community?
I may go see it twice just to make a profound political statement tbh

I know the majority have forgotten that she's won an Oscar. It appears she has also. Movie looks okay, though.

Certainly not as bad as Brie Larson’s but if you would have told me after Lawrence won that she’d have such a long streak of failed projects and that she’d pass up so many good movies, I wouldn’t have believed it.

This is a terrific premise for a comedy but oof, didn't even chuckle once.

I thought that looked hilarious, and Lawrence would be perfect for this type of comedy - exciting

I actually think a crude sex comedy with and actress that hasn't been good for thirteen years looks... really fun?

I must admit that I laughed quite a bit. And you know it would have been funnier to see "Academy Award Winner Jennifer Lawrence." Too bad they didn't.

I had some chuckles out of the trailer. I hope it's good. Gene Stupnitsky's filmography reads: Year One (writer), Bad Teacher (writer), and Good Boys (director and writer). The attraction seems to be JLaw being naughty, immature, and naive.
I am getting a mixture of Superbad, Laggies, and 40-year Old Virgin vibes: Coming-of-age raunchy comedy that gets sappy toward the end. I do not see it going the Young Adult or It's Always Sunny route, where the characters don't actual change.

Violates the divide by two, add seven rule. But who knows, it's hard to predict who gets offended by what nowadays. Definitely interesting that the movie's protagonist (Lawrence) is female. If this film were produced in the 90s or 00s, it would have been played by a male character.

I know what you mean but also keep in mind - in LP they don't "hook up" - they just kiss......NHF is a lot more risque and is about fncking specificaly - and not a minor - he's 19 - than LP was .............which is far more on the sweet side imo......... ..............also Red Rocket was made last year and was played by a male character and underage teen and they do hook-up........and that was a great movie....... I said this 2 or 3 times this week - there is a 2023 movie - Palm Trees and Power Lines - that is a far more disturbing film than any I can think of about this topic in a looooooooooooooooooong time - the male character iirc in his late 20s maybe? and a 17 year old girl ........and none of it is played for laughs - at all ........a very memorable film debut by the lead actress Lily McInerny.......
MAR really needs to see this movie - parents especially.......

LP — they kiss, hold hands and under the table flirting. No Hard Feelings (great pun btw) is going to be a mainstream comedy. Red Rocket and Palm Trees are film nerd productions — under the radar and seen as irrelevant.

Kissing, holding hands and under the table flirting is still not fncking - just saying...........is it fncking? No it is not. Hopefully Palm Trees isn't seen as irrelevant since it's about something dead serious .........

I agree with you though that somebody is going to get offended and that’s only great news for the film.

On the contrary thats what usually happened to all the Hollywood femele stars that gain fame at a very young age. Jodie Foster lived in permanent semiretirement since Nell. There are exceptions like Kate Winslet. But in her chase 1) is brittish 2) usually makes relative low budget movies, mostly in England. Last Holiday is probably the last Big Budget Movie she made as a leading lady. So the boxoffice isnt important for her stardom. I guess is hard the pressure for all these relative uneducated ladies to be in big budget movies for a very long time. Other thing are the stupid comments Lawrence make product of her low education level. She left school at a very early age in order to be a star. She has the luck of the Pandemic and that Brie Larson’s exitence. Otherwise her fell should be harder.

Putting the triple X back into sexxx comedy...

Since we're discussing it unfortunately I think they're probably going to wimp out and not have them have sex instead of having the gloriously awkward and funny sex scene a movie like this needs. Not to mention it just feels like false advertising since the reason, conscious or not, anyone is going to see this is because you're curious to see how it would go if they did actually have sex. Everyone's too afraid of "the discourse" these days, though.

At least wait until the movie comes out before accusing it of false advertising (which it wouldn’t be even if they don’t have sex, not that I agree they won’t).
