Ok I'm tabulating the results and I have to whittle the list down to 50, I don't have enough ballots for 100.

Some tiebreaker rules:
1) If two or more movies have the same number of points, the number of ballots break the tie; 2) If two or more movies have the same number of points and ballots, the tiebreaker is the highest placement on one ballot.
There still are a couple of ties but that's fine.

329 movies have received at least one mention.
I know some might object to a couple of mentions in the presentation and I could understand the complaints but in my view the eligibility of those movies is acceptable.

Yeh, I decided to include those edge cases on my ballot, since they were being included anyway.

RRR is magnificent and I'm glad it appeared. The Handmaiden, The Virgin Spring and Fanny and Alexander are all quite good as well. No complaints do far.

The Battle of Algiers - I'm of a split mind on this. I think it is kind of perfect at what it is doing, and few films match its intelligence as an examination of politics and terrorism. On the other hand, it makes me queasy and I don't enjoy it. I should probably rewatch it, as my younger self totally hated it but I appreciate it more as I age.
Seven Samurai - Good movie, I should probably rewatch it as I like it more as I age.
Rocco and His Brothers - I gave this a watch because of this thread, and meeeeh. Overblown melodrama.
Z - Didn't make my ballot, but yeeeeees
M - Funny that these two place back to back. Quite an effective little movie.

I like #40 okay, but it's so unremarkable. You've seen one of these slow arthouse movies, you've seen them all. I like 36-37 pretty well, haven't seen the others.
